A.J. Landis and Nolan Kingham combined on a five-hitter Thursday to lead Desert Oasis’ baseball team to the Northwest League title with a 3-1 victory over visiting Centennial.
Brett Brocoff was 1-for-3 with a double, and Chris Van Kuren went 1-for-3 with an RBI for the Diamondbacks, who scored twice in the first inning.
Centennial’s Zachary Dixon was 2-for-3, and Travis Stevens was 1-for-2 with a double and a run for the Bulldogs. Jordon Wyke tossed a five-hitter for Centennial.
Cimarron-Memorial 9, Arbor View 4 — At Arbor View, Trent Bixby went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and three RBIs, and the Spartans used a five-run third inning to top the Aggies.
Niko Decolati was 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and Trevor Lippard was 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs for Cimarron.
Arbor View’s Jayce Gardner was 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs, and Sam Pastrone and Nick Quintana each went 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Aggies.
Sierra Vista 4, Spring Valley 2 — At Spring Valley, Braxton Anderson and Cade Burdett combined on a six-hitter to lead the Mountain Lions past the Grizzlies.
Dillon Larson was 2-for-4 with a double and a run for Sierra Vista.
Nick Rupp was 2-for-3 for Spring Valley.
Foothill 1, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Austin Wilson tossed a four-hitter and struck out 10 to lead the Falcons by the Sundevils.
Trenton Price’s two-out single in the top of the first inning plated Spencer Throgmorton with the game’s only run.
Cris Andrade tossed a seven-hitter and struck out two for Eldorado.
Mojave 17, Cheyenne 16 — At Mojave, Tyler Williams’ RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning lifted the Rattlers past the Desert Shields.
The Rattlers started the bottom of the seventh inning with consecutive singles by Otto Hernandez and Scotty Wilson.
Both runners moved up on a passed ball before Williams’s game-winning hit for Mojave, which led 15-7 after three innings.
Chaparral 7, Valley 4 — At Chaparral, Tyler Crone tossed a six-hitter, doubled and scored twice to lead the Cowboys past the Vikings.
Beau Galindo had two RBIs for Chaparral.
Isaiah Cardenas had two doubles, and teammate Roberto Gonzalez-Aleman went 2-for-4 for Valley.
Faith Lutheran 10, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Zach Trageton spun a five-inning two-hitter with 10 strikeouts and one walk as the Crusaders blanked the Trojans.
Trageton was 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI, and Jake Koentopp went 3-for-3 with a double, a run and an RBI for Faith Lutheran. Joshua Harmonay was 2-for-2 with a triple, two runs and two RBIs, and Chad Jones homered and had two RBIs for the Crusaders.
Green Valley 14, Rancho 2 — At Rancho, Jarrett Perns went 3-for-3 with a triple, a double and three RBIs, and the Gators exploded for 11 first-inning runs in a five-inning win over the Rams.
Jarod Penniman went 2-for-2 with two RBIs, and Gavin Morley and Ty Burger each went 2-for-3 with an RBI for Green Valley.
David Arambula was 2-for-2 for Rancho.
Lake Mead 5-22, Calvary Chapel 11-12 — At Heritage Park, Noah Tassi went 2-for-2 with two doubles and five RBIs in the nightcap as the Eagles salvaged a split with the Lions.
Zach Brocker was 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI in the finale for Lake Mead.
In the opener, winning pitcher Spencer Church was 1-for-2 with a run and three RBIs to lead the Lions to the victory.
Elijah Carrington 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs in the second game for Calvary Chapel.
Indian Springs 5-16, Beaver Dam 1-4 — At Indian Springs, Nino Alvarez tossed a three-hitter with six strikeouts in the opener and was 2-for-3 with a triple in the nightcap as the Thunderbirds swept the Diamondbacks.
Donald Watkins was 2-for-3 with a double for Indian Springs in the first game.
In the second game, Ty White and winning pitcher Ryan Frank each went 2-for-3 with a double for Indian Springs.
Clark 7, Western 0 — At Clark, the Chargers won by forfeit.
