BASEBALL: Faith Lutheran downs Moapa Valley in regular-season finale

Lucas Dockery’s ground-out scored Jacob Ortega with the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth inning, and Faith Lutheran rallied for a 3-2 victory over visiting Moapa Valley on Saturday in the regular-season finale for both teams.
Blake Giuliani went the distance for the Crusaders, allowing four hits and two walks to go along with nine strikeouts.
Giuliani also went 2-for-3, including a run-scoring single in the fourth to cut Moapa Valley’s lead to 2-1.
Faith Lutheran tied the game at 2-2 in the fifth on Liam Bredin’s squeeze bunt, which plated Dylan Howell.
Daxton Longman was 2-for-3 with a double and drove in both runs for the Pirates.
