Asher Bouldin singled home Ryan Merino with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning on Wednesday to lift Palo Verde’s baseball team to a 3-2 home win over Cimarron-Memorial.
Cimarron scored twice in the top of the second on an error and an RBI single by Cameron Stafford to take the early lead.
The Panthers tied the game in the fifth on a wild pitch and an RBI groundout by Jaxon Hammond.
Jaret Godman was 2-for-3 with a run and also pitched 2⅓ scoreless innings of relief to get the win. He allowed one hit, struck out four and walked one.
Palo Verde starter Dylan Orlando allowed two unearned runs on five hits in 4⅔ innings. Orlando struck out nine and walked three.
Spartans starter Nick Restifo allowed three runs on five hits in six innings.
Shadow Ridge 14, Legacy 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Jesse Meyer threw a five-inning no-hitter as the Mustangs routed the Longhorns.
Meyer struck out seven with no walks. Legacy’s only baserunner came on an error leading off the fourth inning.
Justin Lee, Noah Soltero and Bryan Trujillo each went 3-for-3 to lead Shadow Ridge’s 15-hit attack.
Lee had a homer, three runs and three RBIs, and Trujillo tripled and drove in four runs. Soltero scored three runs and had an RBI for the Mustangs, who scored five runs in each of the first two innings.
Bryson Barnes went 2-for-3 with a double, a triple and three runs, and Vinny Archer was 2-for-2 with two RBIs for Shadow Ridge.
Liberty 7, Rancho 5 — At Rancho, Kaeden Camat-Toki singled home the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh as the Patriots went on to beat the Rams.
Kevin Clark went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, and Ryan Meservey was 2-for-2 with an RBI for Liberty, which rallied from a 5-3 deficit.
Rancho’s Braeden Hedge was 2-for-3 with a double, and Edarian Williams singled and drove in two runs for the Rams.
Green Valley 7, Foothill 5 — At Foothill, the Gators rallied for two runs in the top of the seventh to defeat the Falcons.
Carter Gehlken singled home Austin Primack with one out to break a 5-5 tie, and Gehlken scored an insurance run on an error.
Gehlken was 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs to lead Green Valley.
Drake Maningo went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Green Valley, and Primack was 2-for-3 with two runs.
Alex Elizondo went 2-for-2 with a run and an RBI for Foothill.
Chayse Parenteau, Kelton Lachelt and Nathan Young each added two hits for the Falcons, who had tied the game at 5 on Anthony Pannullo’s RBI single in the bottom of the sixth.
Chaparral 3, Tech 1 — At Chaparral, Christian Calzada and James Cobian combined on a one-hitter in the Cowboys’ win over the Roadrunners.
Calzada pitched four hitless innings to get the win, and Cobian pitched three shutout innings to earn a save.
Jacob Mauro had an RBI double, and Robert O’Connor was 2-for-3 with a walk for Chaparral, which led 2-1 after four innings.
Chandler Gehring had Tech’s lone hit, a single in the fifth inning, and Jose Leon tossed a complete game in a losing effort.
Coronado 6, Las Vegas 0 — At Coronado, Boston Mabeus went 1-for-2 with two RBIs, and Kyle Hall pitched five innings of one-hit relief with eight strikeouts to lead the Cougars over the Wildcats.
Landen Rowland hit a double and scored a run, and John Cascardo tripled and scored for Coronado.
Basic 11, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Roger Riley was 2-for-3 with a double, a homer, three runs and two RBIs, and Hunter Martin went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs to power the Wolves to a six-inning win over the Sundevils.
John Howard Bobo was 2-for-4 with two doubles, and Garrett Giles went 3-for-4 with two runs. Christian Rivero also doubled for Basic, which led 6-0 after four innings.
Fou Basic pitchers combined on a two-hitter. Dominic Opipari struck out four in three innings to get the win.
Ozzy Ojeda and Julio Rodarte each singled for Eldorado.
Centennial 11, Faith Lutheran 3 — At Centennial, Austin Kryszczuk went 2-for-3 with a run and four RBIs to lead the Bulldogs over the Crusaders.
Kyle Horton was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and two RBIs, and Tanner Wright went 3-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI for Centennial, which scored five runs in the first inning.
Zach Simon doubled and drove in two runs for the Bulldogs. Simon also allowed two unearned runs on two hits in four innings to get the win. He struck out five with no walks.
Blake Giuliani went 2-for-3 with a double, a run and an RBI for Faith Lutheran.
Silverado 10, Canyon Springs 0 — At Silverado, winning pitcher Kevin Pindel laced a three-run triple in the first inning and combined with Jerald Murray on a three-hit shutout as the Skyhawks topped the Pioneers in five innings.
Grant McCarty supplied a two-run single for Silverado, which only had five hits but took advantage of eight walks. Dax Fellows hit a single, scored three times, and stole two bases for the Skyhawks.
Bishop Gorman 11, Clark 1 — At Gorman, Austin Wells was 2-for-3 with a triple, a run and four RBIs to lead the Gaels over the Chargers in five innings.
Nick Catalano was 3-for-3 with a double and a run, and Nick Israel was 1-for-2 with three runs for Gorman.
Boulder City 11, Virgin Valley 0 — At Boulder City, Rhett Armstrong went 3-for-3 with a double, two runs and three RBIs to power the Eagles to the five-inning win over the Bulldogs.
Jonathan Oliver went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs, and D.J. Reese was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and an RBI for Boulder City, which scored seven runs in the second inning.
Jake Hubel threw a three-hitter with three strikeouts and three walks to get the win.
Dillan Fuqua was 1-for-2 with a double for Virgin Valley.
Moapa Valley 18, Del Sol 2 — At Overton, Chase Hadley struck out five and was 2-for-3 with two RBIs at the plate, as the Pirates routed the Dragons in four innings.
Dayton Wolfley went 2-for-3 with three RBIs for Moapa Valley, which got two hits apiece from Tyler Peterson and Hunter Wininski.
Brady Walton supplied an RBI single, and teammate Alejandro Flores doubled for Del Sol.
