Outlook: Garrett Lucas (.372, 28 RBIs; 6-2, 1.63 ERA) was the Sunset League MVP last year, and Willie Lucas (.359, 10 doubles, 26 RBIs; 4-3, 3.47 ERA) was a first-team all-league choice.
Costa (3-3, 2.26 ERA) and Havel (.313, 18 RBIs; 2-1, 3.37 ERA) both were second-team all-league choices for the defending Sunset League champions.
“We return seven seniors and have a strong junior and sophomore class,” Hayes said. “Expectations are high and our boys hope to take that next step in our program this season. If our boys come together as a team and buy into our Trojans’ Creed, it will be a fun season for us.”
