Outlook: Mortensen (.392, 42 runs, 46 stolen bases/2.75 ERA, 20 innings, 27 strikeouts) leads a list of returnees that also includes Ault (.443, 3 HR, 11 doubles, 34 RBIs), Rivera (.326, 14 RBIs), Greene (.286, 7 RBIs) and Gonzalez (5-2, 2.40 ERA).
“We lost five significant starters to graduation, but almost all of our sophomore and junior class gained valuable experience during summer ball,” Hayes said. “We will find out early in the season if we are retooling or rebuilding.”
