Outlook: Lawrence (7-0, 1.82 ERA) was an all-state selection last year and joins Anderson (.321) and Hernandez (.250) among the Rattlers’ returnees.

“After seeing some playoff success, the players have worked hard in the offseason to prove it wasn’t a one-time deal,” LaSalle said. “We lost some key players, but we feel we are more talented overall than last season.

“Anything less than a playoff run will be considered a disappointment to the players, and that is a long way from past seasons where just being competitive was acceptable. With the addition of some new players and young talent coming through the program, look for the Rattlers to make some noise this season.”
