Outlook: The defending Division I-A state champions return three solid pitchers in Johnson (8-2, 1.64 ERA, 81 strikeouts in 51.1 innings), Dreibelbis (5-1, 1.45, 57 Ks, 38.2 innings) and Uelmen (4-3, 2.22, 76 Ks, 53.2 innings).
Etherington (.389 average, 26 RBIs) and Uelmen (.421, 23 RBIs) should be among the leaders offensively.
“It’s a senior-heavy team,” Neagle said. “They’re a close-knit group that has been together for six years. A very difficult non-league schedule will be a good indicator on how good this group could be.”
