WRESTLING: Pope’s quick pin helps Liberty top Del Sol

Dylan Pope pinned his opponent in just 39 seconds at 132 pounds to lead Liberty’s wrestling team to a 51-21 home victory over Del Sol on Tuesday.

Travis Colisao (106), Bryson Delacruz (160) and Jared Whiddon (170) also won by fall for Liberty, which won three matches by forfeit.

Isaiah Alexander (152) and Darrion Jones (220) won by pin for Del Sol.

Liberty 59, Sierra Vista 12 — At Liberty, the Patriots won six matches by forfeit in a rout of the Mountain Lions.

Julian Watkins (120) and Jonathan Halk (138) had pins for Liberty.

Sierra Vista’s Anthony Cordero won by pin at 285.

Liberty 60, Bonanza 18 — At Liberty, the Patriots won six matches by forfeit and topped the Bengals.

Kyle Dudder pinned his opponent in 41 seconds at 126 to lead Liberty.

Pope (132), Halk (138), and Dakota McIntire (145) also won by fall for the Patriots.

Ammon Montenegro (170), Elias Aguilar (220) and Jerone Moten (285) won by fall for Bonanza.

Del Sol 48, Sierra Vista 28 — At Liberty, the Dragons won seven matches by forfeit and topped the Mountain Lions.

Sierra Vista’s Kyler Corpuz pinned his opponent in just 29 seconds at 145, and teammate Cordero won by fall at 285.

Del Sol 45, Bonanza 27 — At Liberty, Nyko Camacho won by pin at 126 to lead the Dragons over the Bengals.

Montengro (170), Aguilar (220) and Dylan Orchard (132) won by fall for Bonanza.

Sierra Vista 33, Bonanza 12 — At Liberty, the Mountain Lions won all five contested matches to rout the Bengals.

Christian Tinoco pinned his opponent at 126 in just 26 seconds to lead Sierra Vista. Cordero (285), Corpuz (145) and Noah Parker also won by fall for the Mountain Lions.
