WRESTLING: Shadow Ridge takes down Cimarron-Memorial

The Shadow Ridge wrestling team won three matches by fall Wednesday night en route to a 37-28 home win over Cimarron-Memorial.

Javier Zuniga (106 pounds), Alika Villiatora (132) and Isaiah Eisbenberg (182) had pins for the Mustangs.

Kody Presser (145) and Marc Williams (160) won by technical fall for Shadow Ridge.

Nathaniel Rodriguez (120) and Adrian Alonso (285) had pins for the Spartans.

Chaparral 39, Eldorado 36 — At Chaparral, the Cowboys won three matches by fall as they edged the Sundevils.

Jalen Williams (138), Francisco Escoto (145) and Jesus Ruiz (170) won by pin for Chaparral.

Rene Ruiz-Allen (160) and Uriel Garcia-Fierro (195) won by fall for Eldorado.

Desert Pines 34, Pahrump Valley 30 — At Desert Pines, the Jaguars won two matches by technical fall to power them over the Trojans.

Joshua Moran (138 pounds) and Geovanny Salazar each won by technical fall for Desert Pines.

Pahrump Valley won four matches by fall, including Jakob Landis at 220 pounds with 34 seconds remaining in the match.

Silverado 39, Basic 33 — At Basic, Anthony Canedo won his 152-pound match by fall in 33 seconds as the Skyhawks took down the Wolves.

The Skyhawks won six matches by fall, including four in row starting with David Carrasco at 138 pounds and ending with Dresando Nucum at 160 pounds.

Basic won six times by fall, including Antwonn Dias at 113 pounds with just 30 seconds remaining in the match.

Clark 34, Durango 31 — The Chargers won four matches by fall to beat the Trailblazers.

Isaac Warren (113 pounds), DeAndre Smothers (170), Cynsere Smith (195) and Izzek Bisson (285) all won by fall for the Chargers.

Ethan Slater (132), Alec Dachs (160) and Brent Gray (182) all won by pinfall for Durango.

Bishop Gorman 74, Desert Oasis 12 — At Desert Oasis, the Gaels benefited from nine forfeits in their victory over the Diamondbacks.

Nathan Song (220) pinned his opponent in the second period for Gorman.

Mateo Fitzpatrick (138) and Timothy Cuamba (152) each won by fall for Desert Oasis.

Foothill 57, Liberty 18 — At Foothill, the Falcons picked up seven victories by fall in their rout of the Patriots.

Foothill’s Jason Pate had the fastest pin of the night, winning his 170-pound match in 29 seconds. Teammate Wyatt English was right behind, winning in 46 seconds at 138 pounds.

Liberty’s Jared Whiddon won by fall at 220 pounds in 38 seconds.

Rancho 57, Valley 4 — At Rancho, the Rams won seven matches by forfeit en route to the victory over the Vikings.

Elvis Tlaxca (132) and Adrian Brown (220) each won by fall for Rancho.

Owen Kirtley earned Valley’s points with a major decision at 152.

Mojave 78, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Mojave, the Rattlers won all four matches that took place as they benefited from 10 forfeits in shutting out the Miners.

Joseph Lojero at 120 pounds by fall, and Sergio Salazar at 195 pounds also won by fall. Devin Washburn won his 182-pound match by a 10-3 decision, Don Phillips won at 220 pounds by major decision, 11-3.

Green Valley 75, Coronado 0 — At Coronado, the Gators won three matches in less than a minute in shutting out the Cougars.

Desmond Bowers won by pin in 43 seconds at 138, Dylan Warr won by fall in 50 seconds at 182 and Cade VanOrden had a pin in 53 seconds at 220.
