ROUNDUP: Arbor View trio paves way to pair of victories

Tyler Ramos, Logan Leavitt and Andrew Riffel each won two matches by pin to lead Arbor View’s wrestling team to a 62-16 win over host Cheyenne and a 58-13 rout of Legacy in a triangular meet Wednesday.

Ramos (106 pounds) won by fall in 1 minute, 29 seconds against Cheyenne, with Leavitt (126) winning in 3:02 and Riffel (145) in 3:36.

Cheyenne topped Legacy 57-18 in the other dual.

Cheyenne’s Oscar Monzon (126), Daniel Ludwig (132), John Robinson (138), Nick Quintana (145), Agbor Enikenwa (160) and Jesse Bourque (182) each won by pin against the Longhorns.

Grizzlies capture two wins
At Spring Valley, Ray Waters won a pair of matches by pin to lead the Grizzlies to wins over Bishop Gorman and Bonanza.

Waters (170) won by pin in 5:30 in a 57-6 win over Gorman. Teven Mayo (132), Rodrigo Santos (152), Devin Dishari (220) and Silvano Villanueva (285) also won by pin for Spring Valley.

Waters earned a fall in 1:17 in a 54-18 victory over Bonanza. Richard Tapia (120) and Jordan Conner (138) each added a pin.

Gorman’s Tommy Field (160) earned a pair of pins, including a 37-second fall in the Gaels’ 46-26 win over Bonanza.

Mustangs earn two wins
At Shadow Ridge, Dustin Vanrell, Spencer McKee and Jesse Bergner each recorded a pair of pins to help the Mustangs to a 46-25 win over Centennial and a 72-6 rout of Faith Lutheran.

McKee (145) needed less than a minute to end each of his matches. Vanrell won twice at 138, and Bergner swept at 170.

Centennial’s Lawrence Easley (182) and Jordan Karst (285) each collected two pins. The Bulldogs were 71-3 winners over the Crusaders.

Duo leads Trojans to pair of victories
At Sierra Vista, Levi Grundacker (106) and Kory Daffer (285) each won twice by pin to lead Pahrump Valley to a 49-21 win over Desert Oasis and a 40-27 victory over Sierra Vista.

Sierra Vista edged Desert Oasis 36-35 in the other dual.

Cimarron tops Mojave, Palo Verde
At Cimarron-Memorial, Chris Colwell (126) and Austin Sinyard (285) each registered two pins as the host Spartans rolled to a 70-3 rout of Mojave and a 42-36 win over Palo Verde.

Sinyard won both his matches in the first period.

Palo Verde downed Mojave 69-12 in the other dual.

Rancho earns pair of wins
At Eldorado, Rancho earned a pair of three-point victories, topping Eldorado and Desert Pines, both by a score of 42-39.

Eldorado also earned a 42-30 win over Desert Pines.

Liberty earns pair of wins
At Liberty, Jordan Joseph (170) and Michael Siwiec (195) each posted two pins as Liberty defeated Moapa Valley 65-9 and Silverado 61-16.
