ROUNDUP: Six-run seventh lifts Desert Oasis over Spring Valley

Briona Santovino raced home on a passed ball to complete a six-run rally in the bottom of the seventh inning as Desert Oasis edged visiting Spring Valley 9-8 on Tuesday.

Emily Heinz led off the bottom of the seventh with a double. Andrea McIntosh followed with a bunt single, and both runners scored on Holly O’Hara’s single down the left-field line.

After a strikeout, Nicole Liakos singled and Lenzi Cram walked to load the bases. Santovito’s two-run single plated O’Hara and Liakos to make the score 8-7.

Audrey Blockovich’s sacrifice bunt moved runners to second and third with two outs. Brooke Kutz’s single to left brought home Cram to tie the game, and Santovito came home on a passed ball with Heinz back at the plate.

Heinz, McIntosh, Santovito and Liakos each had two hits for the Diamondbacks. Liakos and Santovito each had two RBIs.

Spring Valley’s Jasmine Wilson was 4-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI.

Basic 2, Foothill 1 — Lacey Romo singled home pinch runner Erika Antivo with two outs in the eighth inning to give the Wolves the win over the Falcons.

Romo, who was 2-for-4 with a double, also went the distance to pick up the win. She allowed four hits, struck out 16 and walked none.

Foothill’s Shelbie Medrano homered to lead off the seventh to tie the game.

Medrano struck out 12 and walked none, but she hit a batter to start the eighth-inning rally.

Liberty 10, Silverado 2 — At Silverado, Breanna English’s three-run homer in the second capped a seven-run inning as the Patriots defeated the Skyhawks.

English allowed two runs and struck out five to pick up the win.

Green Valley 9, Del Sol 1 — At Green Valley, Jacqui Cappuccilli went 3-for-3 with a double to lead the Gators past the Dragons.

Katharine Conti was 2-for-4 for the Gators, who got a home run from Ali Bodnar.

Winning pitcher Carly Aughney tossed a three-hitter and struck out four.

Coronado 13, Tech 0 — At Coronado, Jessica Moriarty was 3-for-3 with two home runs, four RBIs and three runs scored to lead the Cougars to a five-inning rout of the Roadrunners.

Allie Amato earned the win and was 2-for-3 with three RBIs.

Katie Cochran was 3-for-3 with a home run and three runs scored and Devyn Choltko was 2-for-3 with a triple for Coronado.

Clark 11, Sierra Vista 1 — At Clark, Jasmine Fukuda went 3-for-4 with a double and three runs to help the Chargers to the five-inning win.

Anna Jaehn was 3-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs and Shannon Chapman had a two-run homer for Clark.

Elisa Dawson went the distance, allowing three hits and striking out six, to get the win.

Sierra Vista’s Tayler Aleman had a solo homer in the first inning.

Bonanza 8, Bishop Gorman 5 — At Bonanza, Alex Teed went 2-for-3 with a triple and Emily Osborn supplied a single and a double as the Bengals downed the Gaels.

Taylor Gordy-Prescott contributed a triple for Bonanza.

Claudia Franco had a double for Gorman.

Durango 22, Western 3 — At Western, Sam Juarez was 2-for-4 with three RBIs for the Trailblazers in their win over the Warriors.

Winning pitcher Ashley Hall struck out four.

Arbor View 12, Cheyenne 2 — At Arbor View, the Aggies collected 16 hits on the way to a six-inning rout of the Desert Shields.

Chelsea Venable was 4-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and two stolen bases to lead Arbor View, Danielle Nolan was 4-for-4, and Nichole Diaz went 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Aggies pitcher Amanda Jones gave up three hits and struck out four.

Lexi Galindo was 2-for-3 with an RBI to lead Cheyenne.

Centennial 26, Mojave 6 — At Mojave, Katie Lee was 5-for-5 with a home run and six RBIs to lead the Bulldogs to a five-inning rout of the Rattlers.

Johnna Brown was 4-for-5 with a home run and four RBIs, and Sierra Golia was 4-for-5 with a double, a triple and five RBIs.

Shadow Ridge 6, Palo Verde 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Amanda Aker and Mandy Harmon combined on a three-hitters as the Mustangs beat the Panthers.

Harmon got the win, taking over in the third inning and striking out eight.

Shadow Ridge’s Rae-Ann Bohm, Ashley Huddleston and Ashley Eldridge each went 2-for-3 with a double.

Palo Verde’s Missy McCormick had nine strikeouts.

Lake Mead 11, The Meadows 1 — At Tuscany Park, Lynzee Freund hit a two-run homer and pitched a three-hitter to lead the Eagles over the Mustangs.

Freund struck out seven and allowed an unearned run.

Boulder City 7, Needles 2 — At Boulder City, Ali Rants was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs to lead the Eagles past the Mustangs.

Boulder City scored five runs in the fifth inning to pull away.

Needles’ Cassie Cairns went 2-for-3.

Henderson International 9, Pahranagat Valley 3 — At Alamo, Lee Harrison was 2-for-2 with a triple and home run to lead the Wolverines past the Panthers.
Brittany Huff and Lauren Mushkin had two hits each for Henderson International.
Addie Canning was 3-for-3 with two RBIs for Pahranagat Valley.
