ROUNDUP: Endsley's walk-off hit gives Grizzlies extra-inning win

Ellie Endsley went 4-for-5 with a double, five RBIs and a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth inning Monday to help Spring Valley’s softball team to a 16-15 win over visiting Desert Oasis.

Spring Valley rallied with an eight-run sixth inning to take a 13-10 lead, but the Diamondbacks forced extra innings with a three-run seventh and took a 15-13 lead with two runs in the ninth.

The Grizzlies responded, taking advantage of two walks and a passed ball before Endsley’s two-out, game-ending hit.

Sydney Cummings went 3-for-4 with a triple, an RBI and three runs for Spring Valley.

Lenzi Cram was 4-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and five RBIs for Desert Oasis, and teammate Emily Heinz went 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Foothill 6, Silverado 4 — At Silverado, Rhianna Balaun hit a home run, and the Falcons scored three more runs with two outs in the sixth inning to take the lead and hold on for the victory over the Skyhawks.

Balaun finished 3-for-4, and Alex Petrolia pitched a complete-game with eight strikeouts to get the win.

Kaitlynn Crane went 3-for-4 with an RBI for Silverado. 

Basic 9, Tech 2 — At Basic, Jessica Pittman went 4-for-4 with a double, a triple and two RBIs to lead the Wolves past the Roadrunners.

Leah Causey was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs to help Basic, and teammate Marissa Ross went 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Kimmie Rodriguez went 3-for-3 with an RBI to lead Tech.

Las Vegas 14, Rancho 2 — At Rancho, Jasmina Salas went 3-for-4 with an RBI to lead the Wildcats past the Rams in six innings.

Kristina Nelson tossed a three-hitter for Las Vegas, striking out 14.

Clark 13, Sierra Vista 2 — At Sierra Vista, Julianna Thornock went 2-for-4 to help the Chargers defeat the Mountain Lions.

Julia Hagen tossed a two-hitter with seven strikeouts to get the win.

Green Valley 13, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Maggie Manwarren went 3-for-4 to help the Gators rout the Patriots in five innings.

Megan Barrera was 2-for-3 for Green Valley, which scored eight runs in the fifth inning to seal the win.

Fenixx Henderson tossed a two-hit shutout for the Gators.

Coronado 11, Del Sol 1 — At Coronado, Danielle Amato went 4-for-4 with three runs and two RBIs to help the Cougars down the Dragons in five innings.

Katie Dawson was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Coronado.

Cougars’ pitcher Kendell Sauter tossed a seven-hitter in her first start of the year.

Desiree Orozco was 3-for-3 for Del Sol.

Chaparral 9, Canyon Springs 5 — At Canyon Springs, winning pitcher Nicole Lesniak went 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs as the Cowboys beat the Pioneers.

Lauren Lesniak went 2-for-4 with an RBI for Chaparral, which used a five-run fourth inning to erase a 5-3 deficit.

Christian Earl was 2-for-4 to lead Canyon Springs.

Durango 11, Western 0 — At Durango, Cheyanne Haas and Katie Moore combined to pitch a one-hitter and lead the Trailblazers past the Warriors in five innings.

Kendal Short had a two-run triple to spark a seven-run second inning for Durango.

Bishop Gorman 10, Bonanza 0 — At Gorman, Shelby Estocado went 2-for-4 with a triple, a home run, two runs and three RBIs as the Gaels downed the Bengals in five innings.

Dayton Yingling went 2-for-3 with an RBI and pitched a two-hit shutout, striking out six.

Sunrise Mountain 20, Desert Pines 2 — At Desert Pines, Sydni Beuchat pitched a five-inning three-hitter with nine strikeouts and went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases to lead the Miners past the Jaguars.

Alex Valles went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a triple and four RBIs for Sunrise Mountain, and teammate

Natalie Sharp was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.

Eldorado 20, Valley 0 — At Eldorado, Ashley Jarzombek threw a one-hitter with six strikeouts as the Sundevils routed the Vikings in five innings.

Boulder City 8, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Pahrump Valley, Karlee Koopman pitched a three-hitter and went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs to lead the Eagles over the Trojans.

Taylor McKeever was 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs and an RBI for Boulder City. 

Calvary Chapel 10-17, Lake Mead 9-14 — At Calvary Chapel, the Lions swept the Eagles.

Lake Mead’s Taylor Vetter went a combined 6-for-8 with two doubles, a home run and six RBIs.

Taylor Webb was a combined 6-for-8 with two RBIs for the Eagles, and teammate Taylor Badua-Kono went 7-for-8 with two RBIs.
