ROUNDUP: Arbor View rallies past No. 1 Shadow Ridge in softball

Berlin Panduro had a two-run single and Kayla DeVries an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning Wednesday as host Arbor View’s softball team rallied from 3-0 and 5-4 deficits to knock off No. 1 Shadow Ridge, 7-6.

Shadow Ridge built a 3-0 lead behind 10 strikeouts from Mandy Harmon in the first four innings before Arbor View broke through with four runs in the fifth inning.

The Mustangs scored twice in the top of the sixth for a 5-4 lead, but a single, a walk and an error in the bottom of the inning loaded the bases for Panduro, who finished 3-for-4 with the two RBIs.

DeVries was 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Nichole Diaz went 2-for-3 for the Aggies.

Maria Perkins was 3-for-4 with an RBI for Shadow Ridge. Ashley Eldridge and Rae-Ann Bohm had two hits and an RBI apiece for the Mustangs.

Cheyenne 9, Palo Verde 5 — At Cheyenne, the Desert Shields did all of their damage in the first inning, putting the first nine batters on base and scoring nine runs en route to the win.

Lexi Galindo had a pair of doubles for Cheyenne.

Erika Stratton homered for the Panthers.

Silverado 10, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Akina Zuccaro, Katie Devlin and Aly Kosinski combined on a five-inning one-hitter as the Skyhawks routed the Dragons.

Hazel Lowrey had three of Silverado’s 15 hits. Zuccaro, Alexa Garcia, Amanda Delgado and Taylor Vega had two hits apiece.

Dominique Wright-Ellis doubled for Del Sol.

Liberty 4, Basic 0 — At Basic, Breanna English spun a two-hitter, and Liberty scored all of its runs in the sixth inning as the Patriots blanked the Wolves.

English and Robin Lowery each had an RBI single in the sixth, and Francesca Foti added a two-run double.

Centennial 8, Legacy 5 — At Legacy, Johnna Brown was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a triple to lead the Bulldogs past the Longhorns.

Katie Lee earned the win and was 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI.

Jessie Wilhelm was 2-for-3 with an RBI for Legacy.

Cimarron-Memorial 24, Mojave 0 — At Cimarron-Memorial, Carrie Sheehan and Paige Savage combined to toss a one-hitter to lead the Spartans to a five-inning rout of the Rattlers.

Mojave had a two-out single in the top of the fifth inning to break up a perfect game.

Samantha Valdez was 3-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs, and Andrea Bishop was 4-for-4 with five RBIs to lead Cimarron’s offense.  

Vanessa Gonzalez was 4-for-4 with two RBIs, Hannah Williams was 3-for-3 with three RBIs, and Starlyn Thomas was 3-for-3 with three doubles and one RBI for the Spartans.

Green Valley 3, Coronado 2 — At Coronado, Shelby Vickers hit a two-run triple in the third inning to break a 1-1 tie, and the Gators held on to defeat the Cougars.

Vickers was 3-for-4 with two triples. Katie Stewart tossed a four-hitter with seven strikeouts to get the win.

Kim Dawson was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Coronado.

Foothill 12, Tech 5 — At Foothill, Shelbie Medrano doubled twice and drove in three runs, and Maddie Wamsley went 2-for-2 with a double as the Falcons downed the Roadrunners.

Reyna Villenueva went 3-for-4 and scored two runs for Tech.

Las Vegas 10, Chaparral 0 — At Las Vegas, Tiffani Taylor and Erin Gliddon combined on a two-hit shutout, and the Wildcats took advantage of 12 errors to beat the Cowboys in five innings.

Valley 12, Desert Pines 2 — At Desert Pines, Mickayla Romero pitched a complete game and struck out seven to lead the Vikings past the Jaguars.

Eldorado 8, Canyon Springs 4 — At Eldorado, Megan Jaramillo went 3-for-4 and scored two runs to help the Sundevils beat the Pioneers.

Denise Ortega and Taylor Schroder each supplied a double for Eldorado.

Marquee Velasquez had a two-run homer for Canyon Springs.

Rancho 25, Western 1 — At Rancho, Meridee Drury had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs and combined with Amber Marlette on a no-hitter in the Rams’ five-inning rout of the Warriors.

Marlette added a triple and three RBIs, and Kylee Ridge supplied a triple and drove in five runs.

Marist (Oregon) 14, Bishop Gorman 0 — At Bishop Gorman, Alison Boheends tossed a two-hitter with eight strikeouts and smacked a triple to help the Spartans shut out the Gaels.

Hylee White had a home run, a double and five RBIs for Marist.

Beaverton (Oregon) 9, Spring Valley 6 — At Spring Valley, the Beavers scored five runs in the top of the seventh to come back and beat the Grizzlies.

Kayla Lauro doubled twice and had three RBIs, and Sam White went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for Beaverton.

Katie Garcia had a triple and scored a run, and Jessica Martinez had an RBI single and scored twice for Spring Valley.
