ROUNDUP: Legacy tops Arbor View in girls volleyball

Kathleen Noorda had 15 assists Wednesday to help Legacy defeat host Arbor View 25-22, 25-20, 19-25, 27-25 in a girls volleyball match.

Kaylan Hanson added four kills, four digs and three aces for the Longhorns.

Stayzia Garness had 16 digs and nine kills for the Aggies, and Maddie McCoy added seven kills and five aces.

Centennial 3, Cimarron-
Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, Johnna Brown had 16 kills, five digs and three blocks to help the Bulldogs clinch at least a share of the Northwest League title with a 25-9, 25-15, 25-18 win over the Spartans.

Centennial is 12-0 in league play and has a two-match lead over Palo Verde (10-2) with two matches to play.

Morgan Vieira added 20 assists for the Bulldogs. Katie Friedlander had 13 digs, and Hillary O’Shaughnessy added seven kills and seven blocks.

Jessica White had 19 assists and 10 digs for the Spartans, and Charmaine Watkins had seven kills and eight digs.

Palo Verde 3, Mojave 0 — At Palo Verde, Tori Lounsbery had 14 assists and two kills, and Ainsley Lovejoy had five kills, five aces and three blocks as the Panthers pounded the Rattlers, 25-9, 25-7, 25-8.

Nicole Gneiting added six kills for Palo Verde.

Shadow Ridge 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Kelsey Tesoro had 12 kills and seven digs to help the Mustangs beat the Desert Shields, 25-15, 25-10, 25-16.

Rebecca Brown added seven kills and seven digs for Shadow Ridge.

Green Valley 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Jena Chavez had 17 assists to help the Gators to a 25-12, 25-16, 25-15 win over the Patriots.

Siga Applegate added 11 kills, and Elizabeth Groesbeck had four kills and five assists.

Ali Fragoso had three kills and four blocks, and Ally Gelles had seven digs for Liberty.

Coronado 3, Del Sol 0 — At Coronado, Ally Davis served nine aces as the Cougars cruised past Del Sol, 25-17, 25-17, 25-15.

Kristen Herlosky had six kills and four blocks for Coronado. Alexa Herlosky added five kills and four digs, and Cassie Baden had six aces and five kills.

Basic 3, Tech 0 — At Basic, Tara Patchett had five kills in the Wolves’ 25-20, 25-15, 25-8 win over Tech.

Kaila Maier added four kills, and Hillary Aguilar served five aces for the Wolves.

Daniela-Maria Gurgu had five kills and Brandi Rademaker five aces for Tech.

Silverado 3, Foothill 0 — At Silverado, Patti Flagg had 11 kills and three aces as the Skyhawks downed Foothill, 25-10, 25-21, 25-9.

Kaitlyn Keathley had 12 kills for Silverado, and Marilyn Agae added 28 assists.
