ROUNDUP: Eldorado tops Desert Pines in girls volleyball

Sarah Childs had 16 kills, 12 digs, 10 aces and three blocks Wednesday as Eldorado’s girls volleyball team turned back visiting Desert Pines, 24-26, 25-20, 25-22, 25-20.

The Sundevils wrapped up second place in the Class 4A Northeast League and will host a playoff match at 6 p.m. Monday.

Marissa Mousseau added 20 assists, five aces and four kills and Candace Keele 15 assists, eight kills and four aces for Eldorado.

Valley 3, Chaparral 1 — At Valley, Kersey Wahlquist had 30 assists, three kills and four aces to lead the Vikings over the Cowboys.

Maureen Aquino added 14 kills and 13 digs and Krystal Harrington eight kills and six blocks for Valley.

Rancho 3, Canyon Springs 1 — At Rancho, Sara Arceneaux had 11 kills and six aces to lead the Rams past the Pioneers, 25-15, 25-16, 21-25, 25-13.

Alexis Johnson added 11 kills and Kayla Williams 25 assists for Rancho.

Sierra Vista 3, Bonanza 0 —  At Sierra Vista, Brooke Robinson had 13 kills and two aces and Bianca Mendoza five kills as the Mountain Lions downed the Bengals, 25-21, 25-22, 25-21.

Christin Figgins had 34 digs and Alice Pitts nine kills for Bonanza.

Western 3, Clark 2 — At Western, Michelle Simon had 26 kills and Megan Riggs 44 assists as the Warriors outlasted the Chargers, 23-25, 11-25, 25-16, 13-25, 15-9.

Daresheoun Lee added 17 kills for Western.

Anna Jaehn had seven kills for Clark.

Bishop Gorman 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Dannielle Diamant had 13 digs as the Gaels completed a 16-0 run in Southwest League play with a 25-5, 25-15, 25-13 win over the Diamondbacks.

Brooke McKenna had seven kills and Kylie Shaw three kills and seven assists for Gorman.

Pahrump Valley 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Pahrump, Kristi Daffer had seven kills, five blocks and eight aces as the Trojans topped the Grizzlies, 25-23, 25-9, 25-13.

Shayna Smith had six kills and Allison Kunzi five for Pahrump.

Kylie Higgins had nine kills, four digs and two aces and Dominique Acevedo seven kills and four digs for Spring Valley.

Palo Verde 3, Las Vegas 1— At Palo Verde, Nicole Gneiting tallied 21 kills, eight digs, six blocks and two aces to help the Panthers beat the Wildcats, 24-26, 25-15, 25-17, 25-13.

Tori Lounsbery added 30 assists, four kills and four digs for Palo Verde.

Danica Pickett had 12 digs and eight kills and Tiffany Jackson 25 assists for Las Vegas.

Centennial 3, Dixie (Utah) 0 — At Centennial, Johnna Brown had 15 kills, 18 digs and two blocks in the Bulldogs’ 25-14, 25-12, 25-19 win over Dixie.

Morgan Vieira added 17 assists and five blocks, Alyssa Skeen 11 digs and Katie Friedlander nine digs for Centennial.
