ROUNDUP: Basic’s Phelps beats clock, and Liberty

Kierra Phelps scored as time expired, giving Basic’s girls soccer team a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over visiting Liberty on Saturday.

Liberty held a 1-0 lead with just more than five minutes remaining before the Wolves scored twice to win it.

Ashley Munson tied the match on a penalty kick. Phelps followed, chipping a shot into the net after receiving a lead pass from Brooke Grundy.

Paige Terlizzi scored for the Patriots.

Foothill 3, Tech 1 — At Foothill, Tyhler Coleman scored twice to lift the Falcons past Tech.

Kim Callen had a goal and an assist for Foothill.

Rachael Montoya scored for the Roadrunners.

Bonanza 1, Spring Valley 1 — At Bonanza, Brenna Baneges scored in the second half as Spring Valley tied the Bengals.
Brianna Higgs scored in the first half for Bonanza.

Arbor View 1, Shadow Ridge 1 — At Arbor View, Ashlea Andrade scored for the Aggies, and Kelsey Tesoro scored for Shadow Ridge as the teams tied.

Cimarron-Memorial 7, Mojave 1 — At Cimarron, Nicole Bradley, Hailey Kirkwood and Jen Lutjens scored twice each as the Spartans blitzed Mojave.

Gianna Johnson also scored for Cimarron, and Lutjens added two assists.

Olivia Hicks scored for the Rattlers.

Centennial 12, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Bethanie Skelton and Sienna Drizin scored three goals apiece as Centennial took a 7-0 halftime lead and cruised past the Longhorns.

Sophie Krauza scored twice, and Katelyn Thein, Kaice Scarborough, Julie Owens and Ashley Mosley also had goals.

Kelly McCoy made one save to earn the shutout.

Palo Verde 7, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Sila Tuiofea and Kori Jeffries had two goals each, leading Palo Verde past the Desert Shields.

Taylor Reyes, Tatiana Pagan and Alyssa Kleiner also scored, and Michelle Panko made one save for the shutout.

Las Vegas wins by forfeit — At Las Vegas, the Wildcats were awarded a forfeit victory when Chaparral did not arrive on time.
