ROUNDUP: Basic rallies past Tech in girls soccer

Shannon Casey capped a three-goal blitz in a 14-minute span Wednesday as Basic’s girls soccer team rallied from a two-goal second-half deficit to nip visiting Tech, 3-2.

Tech led 2-0 with 24 minutes remaining on goals by Rachael Montoya and Sabrina Roybal.

But the Wolves stormed back as Kierra Phelps and Alyssa Melson scored to tie the match before Casey scored the winning goal.

Silverado 2, Foothill 0 —
At Silverado, Shelbi Spooner had a goal and an assist to lead the Skyhawks past the Falcons.

Rebecca Stuart also scored for Silverado. Samantha Lewis made five saves to earn the shutout.

Green Valley 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Kayla Varner had a goal and two assists to help the Gators down the Patriots.

Alyssa Rodriguez and Krysta Delamora also scored for Green Valley. Kylie Lowe and Emma Johnson shared time in goal for the Gators.

Coronado 4, Del Sol 1 — At Coronado, Nataly Yosef scored three goals to lead the Cougars past the Dragons.

Veronica Subu added a goal and an assist for Coronado.

Sonora Lankert scored for Del Sol.

Centennial 6, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Cimarron, Julie Owens had two goals and an assist, and Bethanie Skelton scored twice as the Bulldogs wrapped up the Northwest League title with a win over the Spartans.

Ashley Mosley and Sophie Krauza also scored for Centennial.

Gianna Johnson scored for Cimarron.

Arbor View 9, Legacy 0 — At Arbor View, Erica Peeples tallied three goals and an assist, and Falon Miller supplied a goal and an assist as the Aggies blanked the Longhorns.

Bianca Norman, Katherine Runion, Tori Rodriguez, Gabby DeLeon and Ashlea Andrade all scored for Arbor View. Alex Luevano was in goal for the shutout.

Shadow Ridge 7, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Kelsey Tesoro had two goals and an assist, and Kelsey Kurth added a goal and two assists to help the Mustangs down the Desert Shields.

Bailee Bradley, Taylor Kurth, Stephanie Sander and Nicole Fagnant also scored for Shadow Ridge. Brice Poort made two saves to record the shutout.

Palo Verde 8, Mojave 0 — At Palo Verde, Kori Jeffries, Alyssa Kleiner and Taylor Reyes each scored two goals as the Panthers routed the Rattlers.

Brianna Stutz and Courtney Davis also scored for Palo Verde. Michelle Panko made four saves in the shutout.
