ROUNDUP: Garcia-Williams vaults Palo Verde girls past Sundevils

Jade Garcia-Williams tallied 19 points, and Palo Verde’s girls basketball team used a 23-3 third-quarter run Wednesday on its way to a 60-48 win over visiting Eldorado.

Nallah Thomas scored 14, and Ioana Ganeva added 11 points for Palo Verde, which led only 23-22 at the half.

Desia Walker paced the Sundevils with 15 points, and teammates Allyah Swain and Denisheun Jackson each scored 14.

Arbor View 42, Faith Lutheran 40 —
At Arbor View, Ariona Gill scored 17 points, and the Aggies held off the Crusaders.

Janae Strode added eight points and nine rebounds for Arbor View.

Taylor Hammer led Faith Lutheran with eight points.

Del Sol 47, Spring Valley 45 —
At Spring Valley, Melissa DeSantiago scored 15 points, and the Dragons rallied from a 36-30 deficit after three quarters to nip the Grizzlies.

Janai McDonald added 11 points, and Chloe Cabanas tallied 10 points for Del Sol, which missed two free throws in the closing seconds that would have iced the game, but survived a half-court attempt by Spring Valley at the buzzer.

Jessica Stevens had 21 points, and Jana Espiritu scored 13 for the Grizzlies.

Rancho 51, Sierra Vista 30 —
At Sierra Vista, Kanosha Grey poured in 19 points to help the Rams down the Mountain Lions.

LaKissa Martin had 10 points, and Darje Martin added eight points for Rancho.

Melia Tadytin had 11 points to lead Sierra Vista.

Coronado 60, Silverado 39 — At Silverado, Sofie Cruz scored 18 points, and Dajah Washington added 14 points to power the Cougars to a win over the Skyhawks.

Ashley Johnson contributed 10 points for Coronado, which outscored Silverado 37-16 in the second half.

Jasmyn Garcia led the Skyhawks with 15 points.

Valley 46, Pahrump Valley 16 — At Valley, Kennedy Wharton had 22 points and 15 rebounds, and the Vikings allowed only three first-half points on their way to a win over the Trojans.

Gabby Cabanero added 14 points for Valley.

Kayla Skilling led Pahrump with six points.

Centennial 63, Shadow Ridge 14 — At Centennial, Teirra Hicks had 11 points and seven steals, and the Bulldogs built a 60-11 halftime lead in a rout of the Mustangs.

Each team scored three third-quarter points and didn’t score in the final eight minutes.

Ciera DaPra led Shadow Ridge with six points.
