ROUNDUP: Basic’s Brown beats buzzer, Sundevils

Jayla Brown’s stick-back basket as time expired in the fourth quarter Tuesday lifted Basic’s girls basketball team to a 57-55 win over visiting Eldorado.

Brown finished with 24 points and 16 rebounds. Raevyn Allen tallied 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Dana Deloney supplied 13 points for the Wolves.

Denisheun Jackson scored 34 points for the Sundevils.

Las Vegas 55, Rancho 44 — At Las Vegas, Matti Ventling poured in 26 points, and the Wildcats used an 18-6 third quarter spurt to pull away from the Rams.

Shaleea Butler had 13 points, and Shomari Harris supplied 12 points for Las Vegas.

LaKissa Martin tallied 13 points, and Kanosha Grey added 12 points for Rancho.

Valley 62, Green Valley 53 — At Valley, Kennedy Wharton had 20 points and 10 rebounds, and the Vikings overcame a 37-18 halftime deficit to defeat the Gators.

Tyricia Payne added 16 points, and Gabby Cabanero supplied eight points and five assists for Valley, which outscored Green Valley 29-9 in the fourth quarter.

Maggie Manwarren had 19 points, and Rianna Rudolph contributed 16 points for the Gators.

Canyon Springs 68, Silverado 38 — At Silverado, Cherise Beynon had 26 points to lift the Pioneers over the Skyhawks.

Alexia Thrower added 16 points, and Mandy Chitwood scored 12 for Canyon Springs, which led 36-17 at the half.

Jasmyn Garcia paced Silverado with nine points.

Palo Verde 66, Sierra Vista 48 — At Sierra Vista, Ivana Ganeva poured in 26 points, and Ioana Ganeva added 19 points to lead the Panthers by the Mountain Lions.

Enas Ajaj led Sierra Vista with 16 points. Maranda Ramos added 15 points and 13 rebounds for the Mountain Lions.

Durango 41, Shadow Ridge 30 — At Durango, Yli Mokrousova scored 16 points to lead the Trailblazers to victory over the Mustangs.

Kaila Hurley paced Shadow Ridge with nine points.

Arbor View 61, Spring Valley 19 — At Spring Valley, Jocelyn Jordan scored 19 points to lead the Aggies to an easy win over the Grizzlies.

Ariona Gill had 11 points for Arbor View, which got 10 points apiece from Dana Lewis and Janae Strode.

Jana Espiritu led Spring Valley with eight points.

Lake Mead 50, Laughlin 30 — At Lake Mead, Taylor Badua-Kono scored 21 points to propel the Eagles past the Cougars.

Taylor Vetter added 10 points for Lake Mead, which led 28-16 at halftime.

Cassie Beggs paced Laughlin with nine points.

Calvary Chapel 49, Needles 38 — At Calvary Chapel, Chloe Hammond scored 22 points to lead the Lions by the Mustangs.

Lianne Reyes added 12 points for Calvary Chapel.

Abby Chandler paced Needles with 16 points, and teammates Kayla Hills and Caitlyn Courtwright each added 10 points.

The Meadows 59, Mountain View 50 — At Mountain View, Bailey Gosse had 14 points, and Delaney Gosse scored 12 to lift the Mustangs by the Saints.

Anjali Daulat had 11 points for The Meadows.

Kiley Murphy had 18 points, and Rachel Horita scored 12 for Mountain View.

Indian Springs 41, Adelson School 11 — At Indian Springs, Heather Thormahlen had 24 points and 10 steals to lead the Thunderbirds to a rout of the Lions.

Victoria Carpenter supplied seven points and seven rebounds for Indian Springs, which led 26-3 at halftime.

Ale Gibson scored eight points for Adelson School.
