GIRLS BASKETBALL: Davis, Grizzlies end 21-game losing streak

Shania Davis hit the go-ahead 3-pointer with a minute to play Tuesday to help Spring Valley’s girls basketball team break a 21-game losing streak with a 47-44 home win over Sierra Vista.

Davis had 13 points, and Aliana Reale and Jessica Rafay each had eight points for the Grizzlies, who used an 11-3 fourth quarter to pull away.

Kelsey Jimenez supplied 12 points, and Ashley Davidson scored 10 for the Mountain Lions.

Palo Verde 69, Durango 60 — At Palo Verde, Brooklyn Cruz scored 12 of her game-high 31 points in overtime to help the Panthers beat the Trailblazers.

Paulina Silcox added 22 points for Palo Verde, and teammate Nallah Thomas-McDade scored 10 points.

Jazmin Chavez scored 20 points to lead Durango, which missed two free throws at the end of regulation. Brittany Romo added 12 points, and Maria Rico and Vonie Thomas each scored 11 for the Trailblazers.

Arbor View 63, Shadow Ridge 30 — At Arbor View, Janae Strode scored 16 points to help the Aggies roll past the Mustangs.

Jocelyn Jordan and Dana Lewis each supplied 10 points for Arbor View, which jumped out to a 19-3 first quarter lead.

Amira King scored nine points for Shadow Ridge.

Silverado 40, Las Vegas 38 — At Las Vegas, Deja Siaki scored 10 points, including two late free throws to break a 38-38 tie, as the Skyhawks nipped the Wildcats.

Monet Salazar and Rachel Tretina each scored nine points for Silverado.

Shaleea Butler had 23 points to lead Las Vegas.

Green Valley 61, Rancho 56 — At Rancho, Maggie Manwarren was 9-for-10 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter and finished with 24 points to lift the Gators over the Rams.

Rianna Rudolph added 15 points for Green Valley, which trailed 45-44 after three quarters.

LaKissa Martin led Rancho with 18 points. Kanosha Gray added 15 points, and Darje Martin scored 10 for the Rams.

Foothill 59, Coronado 53 — At Foothill, Taylor Turney scored 16 points, and Kelsey McFarland had 15 points as the Falcons edged the Cougars.

Mikayla Yeakel added 10 points for Foothill, which outscored Coronado 18-7 in the fourth quarter.

Dajah Washington supplied 18 points, and teammate Grace Green had 12 points to lead the Cougars.

Liberty 66, Eldorado 25 — At Eldorado, Jamellia Clark had 15 points, 15 rebounds and five assists to help the Patriots roll past the Sundevils.

Jazmin O’Bannon finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Paris Strawther added 12 points and 12 rebounds for Liberty.

Deasia Walker led Eldorado with 11 points.

Basic 57, Del Sol 29 — At Basic, Jayla Brown scored 18 points, and the Wolves raced to a 25-8 halftime lead en route to a win over the Dragons.

Dana Deloney added 13 points for Basic.

Sayanna Roy led Del Sol with 11 points.

Lincoln County 36, Calvary Chapel 32 — At Calvary Chapel, Kayla Matthews had 14 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Lynx over the Lions.

Savannah Harr added 12 points for Lincoln County.

Phallen Nelson had 16 points and 10 steals for Calvary Chapel.

Agassi Prep 55, Lake Mead 32 — At Agassi Prep, Jada Smith scored 18 points as the Stars defeated the Eagles.

Kareema Webb added 12 points for Agassi Prep.

Savannah Schmidt had 19 points, and teammate Taylor Webb added 10 points for Lake Mead.

Beaver Dam (Ariz.) 60, Indian Springs 37 — At Indian Springs, Sol Rosas scored 16 points to help the Diamondbacks defeat the Thunderbirds.

Jayleen Hernandez added 14 points for Beaver Dam, which led 35-14 at the half.

Hannah Thormahlen scored 21 points for Indian Springs.
