GIRLS BASKETBALL: Brown, Patriots top Bishop’s School

Kealy Brown scored 19 points on Saturday to lift Liberty’s girls basketball team to a 50-44 win over Bishop’s School (Calif.) at Bishop Gorman.

Paris Strawther added 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Jazmin O’Bannon had eight points and six rebounds for the Patriots, who led 29-25 at the half.

Liberty held Imani Littleton, the Knights’ 6-foot-3-inch star and St. John’s signee, to just eight points.

Destiny Littleton led Bishop’s School with 24 points.

Bishop Gorman 51, Mount Miguel (Calif.) 48 — At Bishop Gorman, Maddison Washington scored 21 points to lift the Gaels over the Matadors.

Raychel Stanley added 12 points for Gorman, which used a 17-5 third-quarter run to overcome a 28-25 halftime deficit.

The Gaels shot just 11 of 34 from the free-throw line, allowing the Matadors to close the gap late.

Deijah Blanks led Mount Miguel with 22 points, and teammate Zaria Branch scored 12.

Foothill 59, Boulder City 28 — At Foothill, Taylor Turney had 17 points and the Falcons rolled past the Eagles.

Mikayla Yeakel and Kelsey McFarland each added 15 points for Foothill, which led 35-13 at the half.

Katlyn Daly scored eight points for Boulder City.

Lincoln County 48, Lake Mead 21 — At Lincoln County, Jaycee Wadsworth’s 12 points powered the Lynx past the Eagles.

Tanji Tibbitts added 10 points for Lincoln County, which led 39-16 after three quarters.

Savannah Schmidt led Lake Mead with 16 points.

Pahranagat Valley 66, Indian Springs 13 — At Alamo, Kimberly Lewis scored 16 points and Bailee Hosier 15 as the Panthers rolled past the Thunderbirds.

Traci Strong added 11 points for Pahranagat Valley, which led 21-2 after one quarter.
