Smith’s first-half TD tosses lead Diamondbacks to win over Trojans

Desert Oasis' Herman Smith threw for two first-half touchdowns, propelling the ninth-ranked Diamondbacks (6-2, 6-1 Southwest) to a 51-14 victory over Pahrump Valley (1-7, 1-6).

Smith tossed a 22-yard TD pass to Mark Fredericks, than a 13-yard strike to Deumaine Reeder.

Devin Fortenberry had TD runs of 15 and 5 yards for Desert Oasis, which got a 30-yard field goal from Matt Howard. Blake Kutz blocked a punt in the end zone for a Diamondbacks TD.

A.J. Segura scored on runs of 33 and 32 yards for Pahrump.
