Big third quarter helps Sundevils keep cleat


Eldorado (3-5, 2-4 Northeast) rode a 27-point third quarter to retain “The Cleat” on homecoming against with a 48-21 win over Chaparral (1-7, 1-5) on Friday.

Nicholas Blackmon passed for 159 yards and two touchdowns and also ran 2 yards for a score. Justin Brown rushed for 102 yards and caught a 30-yard TD pass, while Zaccheus Davis ran for 85 yards and scored on a 9-yard run.

Chaparral’s Kyle Scott both passed and ran for a touchdown, and Mike Shields returned an interception 20 yards for a score.
