ROUNDUP: Bernard’s big effort helps Trailblazers top Chargers

Daniel Bernard posted 11 kills and 10 blocks Friday to lead Durango’s boys volleyball team to a 25-23, 15-25, 25-23, 25-21 win at Clark.

Dex Austin helped the Trailblazers with 26 assists, and teammate Dillan Sarme added 13 blocks.

Taeg Williams led the Chargers with 30 assists.

Sierra Vista 3, Desert Oasis 1 — At Sierra Vista, Garrett Clifton had 15 kills and Paolo Lee notched four aces, four kills and five digs as the Mountain Lions defeated the Diamondbacks, 25-23, 18-25, 25-18, 25-23.

Joseph Sison supplied nine digs for Sierra Vista.

Austin Becker led Desert Oasis with 30 assists. Danny Eslinger added 23 digs, and Alex Trillo had nine kills and eight digs for the Diamondbacks.

Bishop Gorman 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Gorman, Cody Tom had 12 assists and 10 digs to help the Gaels cruise past the Grizzlies, 25-18, 25-10, 25-22.

Amadeus Sowa had 10 kills to help Gorman, and teammate Matt Lychock added 17 assists and six kills.

DeShaun Nowlin tallied 12 digs and 10 kills to lead Spring Valley. Jim Tran dished out 12 assists, and Eric Lin contributed 12 digs for the Grizzlies.

Valley 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Valley, Peter Nunes posted 32 assists, five kills and three digs as the Vikings swept the Jaguars, 25-17, 25-14, 25-22.

Jack Heavey added 13 kills and six digs, and Lorenzo Capanollo had 11 kills and five aces for Valley.

Jose Mesa had 15 digs to lead Desert Pines. Justin Ngarmnet had nine assists, and Trevor Krystek added five kills and three blocks for the Jaguars.

Canyon Springs 3, Eldorado 0 — At Canyon Springs, Jon Jason Duhaylungsod dished out 31 assists, and Adam Tuala had 12 kills, 11 digs and three aces as the Pioneers downed the Sundevils, 25-14, 25-23, 25-18.

James Harris added 13 kills and seven blocks for Canyon Springs.

Joey Barnhurst dished out 12 assists, and David Tran and Jacob Hollingsworth each spiked six kills for Eldorado, which got nine digs from Cody Ence.

Las Vegas 3, Chaparral 0 — At Las Vegas High, Garrett Jones had 13 kills and 13 digs to lead the Wildcats to a 25-19, 25-21, 25-19 victory over the Cowboys.

Evany Diaz had 34 assists, and Jace Turner added 12 kills for Las Vegas, which got 11 kills from Shayne Marquez.

Saiquan Charingto led Chaparral with 22 kills and three blocks. Pierce Morgan added 29 assists and four blocks for the Cowboys.

Bonanza 3, Western 0 — At Bonanza, Mitchell Barnes had 22 assists and four aces to help the Bengals cruise past the Warriors, 25-9, 25-16, 25-10.

Kenny DeSoto supplied 15 digs for Bonanza, and teammate Brycen Duckworth added six kills.

Vadell Washington logged five kills and two blocks for Western.

Rancho 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Kendall Reynolds collected 12 assists and five aces in the Rams’ 25-22, 25-15, 25-18 sweep of the Miners.

Nathan Campo had nine digs and three aces, and Guillermo Silva supplied 11 kills for Rancho.
