ROUNDUP: Eldorado, Las Vegas boys play to 1-1 tie

Joaquin Rivas’ second-half goal Friday lifted host Las Vegas to a 1-1 tie with Eldorado.

The Wildcats improved to 8-0-1 overall and 6-0-1 in Northeast League play. Eldorado is 8-1-3, 3-1-3.

Aldo Flores scored in the first half for the Sundevils.

Valley 4, Rancho 1— At Rancho, brothers Julio Borjas and Rosendo Borjas each scored a goal to help the Vikings defeat the Rams.

Ivan Chamorro and Joey Lopez also scored for Valley, which led 3-0 at halftime.

Desert Pines 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Desert Pines, Gerardo Romero, Victor Favela and Juan Rincon each scored a goal to help the Jaguars collect their first Northeast League win of the year.

Jorge Colin recorded the shutout for Desert Pines, 1-5 in league play.

Spring Valley 1, Bonanza 0 — At Spring Valley, Moyad Alghouleh converted a pass from brother Mutaz with 10 minutes remaining in the match as the Grizzlies nipped the Bengals.

John Strand made four saves to earn the shutout.

Clark 2, Pahrump Valley 1— At Pahrump Valley, Johnathan Gil and Salvador Bernal each scored a goal to carry the Chargers past the Trojans.

Daimon Nelson scored for Pahrump Valley.

Western 6, Sierra Vista 1 — At Western, Jose Ponce scored three goals, and the Warriors grabbed a 4-1 halftime lead en route to the win over the Mountain Lions.

Felipe Medina scored two goals for the Warriors, and Eric Escalera also scored.

Sierra Vista’s Christian Cruz had a goal.

Durango 4, Bishop Gorman 0 — At Gorman, Durango's Jorge Arauz and Christian Wagner combined on the shutout as the Trailblazers blanked Gorman.

The Gaels were without many of their top players, who traveled to a tournament in the Midwest this weekend.

Faith Lutheran 2, White Pine 0 — At Community Park, Ryan Sniezyk broke a scoreless tie with 10 minutes remaining, and Wade Norman added a goal with six minutes left to lift the Crusaders past the Bobcats.

Marc Davies made three saves to register the shutout.

Desert Oasis 5, Virgin Valley 2 — At Desert Oasis, the Diamondbacks built a 3-0 halftime lead on their way to defeating the Bulldogs.

Strahinja Pavlovic, Andrew Pardo, Tyler Pino, Jordan Kelly and Axel Casas scored for Desert Oasis.

Carlos Rosales and Will Lara had Virgin Valley’s goals
