Vaughn hits nine 3-pointers, Pilots roll

Rashad Vaughn poured in 42 points on Monday to lead Findlay Prep’s boys basketball team to a 116-71 victory over Planet Athlete Academy at Henderson International.

Vaughn, who committed to UNLV last week, tied a Findlay record with nine 3-pointers. He added six rebounds and four assists.

Derryck Thornton had 19 points and nine assists, and Kelly Oubre, Craig Victor and Dillon Brooks each scored 15 points for the Pilots.

Victor grabbed 13 rebounds, and Justin Jackson had six rebounds, nine assists and three blocked shots for Findlay, which was 42-70 (60 percent) from the field and 11-for-24 (45.8 percent) on 3-pointers.
