SOFTBALL: Foley leads Faith Lutheran to Crusader Invitational title

Mosie Foley went 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs and two RBIs Tuesday to lead host Faith Lutheran’s softball team to a 10-0, five-inning win over Legacy in the championship game of the Crusader Invitational.

Cheyenne Kidd was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI, and Ryleigh Gilchrist went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs for the Crusaders.

Makena Martin allowed four hits and struck out three en route to the shutout.

Eliza Ledesma-Esparza was 2-for-2 for the Longhorns.

Legacy 4, Eldorado 1 — Haley Pederson and Kellie Nelson combined on a four-hitter as the Longhorns advanced to the title game with a six-inning win over the Sundevils.

Pederson had three hits and an RBI, and Eliza Rodriguez and Nelson each added two hits for Legacy.

Eldorado 4, Chaparral 1 — Kristie Thomas spun a four-hitter with one walk and seven strikeouts as the Sundevils eliminated the Cowboys in six innings.

Jonna White had three hits and two RBIs for Eldorado.

Losi Brown had three hits for Chaparral.
