RECRUITING: Centennial’s Jayden Eggleston commits to Iona for women’s basketball

Centennial senior forward Jayden Eggleston made an oral commitment to Iona for women’s basketball on Sunday.
Eggleston’s commitment is nonbinding, and the first day she can sign a letter of intent is Nov. 9. Iona’s coaches cannot comment until that time.
The 6-foot Eggleston was a second-team all-state selection as a junior when she averaged 10.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game for the Bulldogs.
Eggleston scored 17 points in the Class 4A (then Division I) state final against Liberty in February to help Centennial capture its second straight state title.
