VOLLEYBALL: Trieb, Trojans outlast Rattlers

Alexis Trieb had eight kills Monday to lead Pahrump Valley’s girls volleyball team to a 25-20, 21-25, 17-25, 25-11, 15-11 victory over visiting Mojave.

Jill Smith added 17 assists for the Trojans, and teammate Shayla Dance had seven kills and four assists.

Lauren Ashford and Alyssa Murphy added nine and eight digs, respectively.

Leilani Limtiaco led Mojave with 13 kills and six digs. Kristina Gomez added 10 kills and three blocks for the Rattlers.

Spring Valley 3, Cheyenne 1 — At Spring Valley, Danielle Amonica had 10 kills to lead the Grizzlies over the Desert Shields, 21-25, 25-13, 25-15, 28-26.

Jessica Rafay added eight kills for Spring Valley, which got 14 digs from Hannah Karas and 12 digs from Nicole Feno.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Valley 0 — At Valley, Logan DeLong had two kills, four aces and 17 assists to help the Spartans to a 25-17, 25-12, 25-15 victory over the Vikings.

Maryana Shamoun notched three kills, three digs and an ace for Cimarron, and teammate Sharon Reyes added 11 digs.

Valley’s Chantelle Rigby had fives aces, four digs and three assists, and Jecori Gladney recorded 12 assists, four digs and an ace.

Arbor View 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Sarah Goddard had 11 kills, and Trinity Chen and Jenna McClure each served eight aces as the Aggies swept the Patriots, 25-9, 25-13, 25-9.

Kasey Kershaw had six blocks for Arbor View.

Roza Allen had five kills, five blocks and two aces, and Tiffany Watkins had three kills and two blocks for Liberty.

Sierra Vista 3, Clark 0 — At Clark, Bailey Bergquist had 19 kills to lead the Mountain Lions to a 25-19, 25-18, 27-25 sweep of the Chargers.

Sydney Land had six kills, and Bridgette Levi added three kills for Sierra Vista.

Angel Jamerson had nine assists, four kills and three digs for Clark, and Alice Afualo added six kills and four aces for the Chargers.

Faith Lutheran 3, Western 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Cayla Nikodemus had eight kills and two blocks as the Crusaders swept the Warrriors, 25-7, 25-6, 25-13.

Jordyn Dunseath had seven kills, and Megan Kronschnabel added 22 assists and two aces for Faith Lutheran.

Destiny Gonzalez had three kills for Western.

Legacy 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Legacy, Ashly Goor had eight kills, five blocks and two aces to help the Longhorns to a 25-20, 25-18, 25-18 sweep of the Diamondbacks.

Saipeti Fuiava recorded two kills, three aces and 10 assists for Legacy, and teammate Kassidy DeSchepper added two aces and six digs.

Desert Oasis’ Kaylee Burkhiser had two kills, three aces and four digs, and Kaia Rhodes contributed three blocks and one kill.

Adelson School 3, The Meadows JV 1 — At Adelson, Crystil Wood had 14 kills and three blocks to lead the Lions past The Meadows’ junior varsity, 25-22, 21-25, 25-19, 25-15.

Camryn Armstrong had nine kills, and Mackenzie Lally added five kills and seven digs for Adelson, which got 10 digs from Carine Torres.
