VOLLEYBALL: Tiemann, Lions take pair from Needles

Marissa Tiemann had a total of 14 kills on Friday to lead Calvary Chapel’s girls volleyball team to a pair of victories over visiting Needles.

Tiemann had seven kills and a block in the opener as the Lions won 25-16, 25-11. Mariah Martin added 12 assists, and Kayla Johnson had 10 assists for Calvary Chapel, which got five kills and two blocks from Alexis Harris.

Tiemann had seven kills in the second match, a 25-10, 25-17 Calvary Chapel win.

Malia Lee added six kills, and Johnson had 11 assists.
