VOLLEYBALL: Rams down Sundevils in four sets

Kayla Coles had 11 kills and 16 digs, and Serenity Sivongsa added 20 assists and nine aces Wednesday to help Rancho's girls volleyball team to a 25-20, 23-25, 25-13, 25-13 win over visiting Eldorado.

Karime Raygoza had 12 kills, and Samantha Pochop had eight kills for the Rams.

Abigail Olsen had six kills and 24 assists, and Anya Olsen added eight kills, four aces and five digs to lead the Sundevils. Dominique Buford finished with three kills, seven aces and eight digs for Eldorado.

Coronado 3, Foothill 0 — At Foothill, Cali Thompson recorded 33 assists, five digs and four aces, and Navi Lee added 14 kills and three digs to help the Cougars sweep the Falcons, 25-11, 25-12, 25-13.

Nikki Jackson had 12 kills, seven digs and two aces for Coronado.

Kiley McCall had nine assists and five digs, and Illiana Ortega notched 11 digs for Foothill, which also got five digs and four kills from Whitley Brow.

Green Valley 3, Basic 0 — At Green Valley, Rachel Klopfer had 20 kills and 11 digs, and Carlee Becker tallied 37 assists, six kills and three blocks to help the Gators down the Wolves, 25-20, 30-28, 25-21.

Julia Carlson added eight kills and four blocks for Green Valley.

Azure Werner had 14 digs, 12 kills and eight assists to lead Basic. Serenity Lomprey notched 11 digs, five blocks and four kills, and Skylar Robbins supplied 12 assists and seven digs for Basic.

Shadow Ridge 3, Durango 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Eadara Files had 27 assists, 12 digs and two aces, and Whitnee Nihipali tallied 13 kills, nine digs and three aces as the Mustangs swept the Trailblazers, 25-16, 25-13, 25-19.

Kizzy Rodriguez added 19 digs for Shadow Ridge.

Cayla Cooper had 18 digs, and Lindsey Horne nine assists for Durango.

Bishop Gorman 3, Palo Verde 0 — At Palo Verde, Vashti Cunningham had 10 kills and four digs, and Paige Poggione added 10 kills as the Gaels swept the Panthers, 25-19, 25-15, 25-15.

Abbey Archambault notched eight kills and three digs, Kylie Gibson had seven kills and Sydney Lobato dished out 33 assists for Gorman, which also got eight digs from Alysia Nielson.

Kayla Kinney put down seven kills to pace Palo Verde. Emma Gutierrez had 13 assists, and Virginia Rallo added 13 digs for the Panthers.

Boulder City 3, Moapa Valley 1 — At Boulder City, Maggie Roe had 16 kills, four aces and 11 digs, and Jayden Wood added 18 kills and 12 digs to lead the Eagles to a 23-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-22 win over the Pirates.

Emma Jeppsen notched six kills and three blocks, and Bayden Huxford had four kills and 18 digs for Boulder City.

Del Sol 3, Desert Pines 1 — At Del Sol, Christy Patinio had four kills, three assists, two aces and 32 digs to help the Dragons to a 25-18, 22-25, 25-18, 25-20 win over the Jaguars.

Diana Hilton had four kills, seven aces and five assists for Del Sol.

Tyler Green led Desert Pines with 11 kills and three aces.

Sunrise Mountain 3, Chaparral 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Rebecca Ramirez had 19 digs in the Miners' 25-21, 25-15, 25-19 sweep of the Cowboys.

Ayla Diaz supplied nine digs and four aces, and Andrea Garner added five kills for Sunrise Mountain, which got four aces and four digs from Arieonna Herrera.

Virgin Valley 3, Tech 0 — At Mesquite, Bernice Fiso had eight kills, and Janella Fiso dished out 19 assists to help the Bulldogs to a 25-18, 25-12, 25-15 sweep of the Roadrunners.

Briana Todd added four kills for Virgin Valley.

Katherine Hernandez had six kills, three aces and nine digs, and Samantha Backman had eight assists for Tech, which got seven digs from Jasmine Ramos.
