VOLLEYBALL: Klopfer helps Gators defeat Centennial

Rachel Klopfer had 14 kills and 13 digs Thursday as Green Valley's volleyball team defeated visiting Centennial, 25-22, 27-29, 25-19, 25-16.

Lana Benson added 13 kills and 11 digs, and Carlee Becker had 42 assists, four aces and seven digs for the Gators.

Talie Bonds paced the Bulldogs with 10 kills, eight assists and 23 digs.

Siarra Roberts had eight kills, 14 assists and 15 digs, and Kaysha Clark added seven assists and nine digs for Centennial, which got 20 digs and three aces from Emily Anderson.

Legacy 3, Durango 0 — At Legacy, Saipeti Fuiava had eight kills, four aces and 11 digs to help the Longhorns to a 25-7, 25-12, 26-24 win over the Trailblazers.

Kamaile Mendonsa had 29 assists, six digs and four aces, and Danielle Castro added eight kills for Legacy, which got 23 digs from Mia Suzuki.

Naomi Harris had three kills and four aces, and Cayla Cooper added nine digs for Durango.

Tech 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Tech, Katherine Hernandez had six kills and eight aces to lead the Roadrunners to a sweep of the Jaguars, 25-9, 25-9, 25-14.

Samantha Backman had two kills, eight assists and two aces, and Victoria Keane had three aces for Tech. Jasmine Ramos added two aces and six digs for the Roadrunners.

Basic 3, Eldorado 0 — At Basic, Azure Warner supplied 12 kills, seven assists and six digs to lead the Wolves by the Sundevils, 25-19, 25-17, 25-14.

Serenity Lomprey had 12 digs and six kills for Basic, which got 10 digs and six kills from Kiara Richardson.

Anya Olsen led Eldorado with 12 kills. Abigail Olsen had three kills and 20 assists, and Kiana Parkes added five kills and four digs for the Sundevils.

Virgin Valley 3, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Emma Barnum had eight kills, two assists, four aces and eight digs to lead the Bulldogs past the Dragons, 25-9, 25-8, 25-8.

Bernice Fiso had seven kills, four aces and five digs, and Janella Fiso had 23 assists and nine aces for Centennial.

Liberty 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Liberty, Tiffany Watkins had nine kills and five digs, and Aaliyah Ward dished out 43 assists as the Patriots swept the Diamondbacks, 25-22, 25-16, 25-23.

Alexandra Farnsworth had eight kills and five aces, and Maggie Heim added seven kills and eight digs for Liberty.

Liberty Baptist 3, New Horizons 0 — At Liberty Baptist, the Eagles were 25-3, 25-7, 25-11 winners over New Horizons.
