VOLLEYBALL: Klopfer, Gators rally for win over Rams

Rachel Klopfer had 17 kills, 10 digs and two blocks Monday as Green Valley’s girls volleyball team rallied for a 9-25, 18-25, 25-11, 26-24, 15-12 win at Rancho.

Carlee Becker added 27 assists, 10 digs and two aces, and Julia Carlson had seven kills, seven digs and three blocks for the Gators, who got 21 digs and two aces from Taylor Lee.

Karime Raygoza led the Rams with 15 kills, 13 digs and two aces. Danielle Carino added eight kills, 15 digs and three aces for Rancho.

Tech 3, Desert Pines 1 — At Desert Pines, Katherine Hernandez had 15 digs, seven aces and six kills to lead the Roadrunners to a 25-6, 19-25, 25-19, 25-15 win over the Jaguars.

Samantha Backman had 18 assists, three kills and three aces, and Madison White added five kills and seven aces for Tech. A’Nae Lewis added six kills and two aces for the Roadrunners.

Desert Pines’ Rocio Sanchez had six kills and three aces.

Foothill 3, Basic 0 — At Foothill, Christina Beaver had 29 assists, nice aces, eight digs and five kills to push the Falcons by the Wolves, 25-15, 25-23, 25-11.

Elizabeth Rosenberg had 11 kills, two aces, five digs and two blocks for Foothill, which also got five kills, five aces and six digs from Rebecca Hill. Tessa Michalosky added six kills and seven blocks for the Falcons.

Christina Kelley led Basic with seven kills, seven assists and four digs. Kim Austin added seven kills and five digs, and teammate Kali Weires had five kills, six digs and three blocks for the Wolves.

Coronado 3, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Nikki Jackson had five kills and five aces as the Cougars swept the Sundevils, 25-12, 25-10, 25-12.

Berkeley Oblad had six kills, three aces and six digs, and Emily Bender had five kills and 10 digs for the Cougars, who got five kills and three aces from Carolyn Andrulis.

Eldorado’s Abigail Olsen had five assists and two aces, and Kiana Parkes had nine digs for the Sundevils, who got seven digs from Anya Olsen.

Shadow Ridge 3, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Ashley Smith had 14 kills, eight digs and three blocks to help the Mustangs to a 25-19, 25-19, 25-15 win over the Longhorns.

Eadara Files added 26 assists and 12 digs, and Caitlin Pascal had 19 digs for Shadow Ridge.

Saipeti Fuiava had 12 assists and five digs, and Ashly Goor added five kills and four digs for Legacy. Myah Maxwell added six kills for the Longhorns.

Bishop Gorman 3, Durango 0 — At Gorman, Vashti Cunningham had 12 kills and two blocks to lead the Gaels past the Trailblazers, 25-22, 25-17. 25-17.

Victoria Ewalefo had 10 kills and three blocks, and Nicole Taormina had four aces and four digs for the Gaels, who got four kills from Abby Archambault.

Durango’s Carly Taylor had 10 kills, and Cayla Cooper had nine digs for the Trailblazers.

Virgin Valley 3, Del Sol 0 — At Mesquite, Emma Barnum had seven kills, and Bernice Fiso added five kills and seven digs to lead the Bulldogs to a 25-23, 25-16, 25-19 win over the Dragons.

Kaydee Bingham had five kills, and teammate Lexi Thompson served five aces for Virgin Valley.

Christy Patinio had 16 digs for Del Sol.

Moapa Valley 3, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Shelbi Walker served four aces to help the Pirates to a 25-20, 25-20, 26-24 sweep of the Cowboys.

Jaylea Blasingame added four blocks for Moapa Valley.

Monique Long had four kills and four digs, and Kayla Enderle served three aces for Chaparral.

Boulder City 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, the Eagles swept the Miners, 25-14, 25-16, 25-19.

Ayla Diaz led the Miners with five kills. Vanessa Amaya recorded 16 assists, and Rebecca Ramirez and Legacy Lane each added three aces for Sunrise Mountain.

Sandy Valley 3, Liberty Baptist 0 — At Liberty Baptist, the Sidewinders were 25-17, 25-22, 26-24 winners.
