VOLLEYBALL: Fiso sisters lead Bulldogs over Eagles

Bernice Fiso had 15 kills and 13 digs, and Janella Fiso added 35 assists, eight aces and six digs to help Virgin Valley's girls volleyball team outlast host Boulder City, 25-23, 25-19, 20-25, 20-25, 15-9 on Tuesday.

Emma Barnum had nine kills, nine digs, two blocks and two aces, and teammate Dylan Bryant added seven kills for the Bulldogs.

Jayden Wood had 20 kills, and Tara Cox had 21 assists for the Eagles.

Maggie Roe added 13 kills, and Valenia Rolleri had nine blocks for Boulder City, which got 33 digs from Bayden Huxford.

Shadow Ridge 3, Legacy 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Whitnee Nihipali had 19 kills and 15 digs to power the Mustangs to a 25-23, 25-14, 25-23 win over the Longhorns.

Eadara Files contributed 30 assists and 10 digs, and Kizzy Rodriguez added 20 digs for Shadow Ridge.

Kamaile Mendonsa had 24 assists and 12 digs to lead Legacy. Jorden Yamaguchi notched 14 digs, and Myah Maxwell added nine kills for the Longhorns.

Moapa Valley 3, Tech 1 — At Tech, Shelbi Walker had 10 kills and four aces, and JaLea Blasingame added 12 kills to lead the Pirates to a 25-13, 25-19, 22-25, 25-13 win over the Roadrunners.

Aria Messer had 36 assists for Moapa Valley.

A'Nae Lewis had six kills, and Elizabeth Ortega added 12 assists for the Roadrunners, who also got 11 assists from Samanatha Backman.

Foothill 3, Basic 0 — At Foothill, Alyssa McCoy had 10 kills and four blocks, and Kiley McCall added 29 assists, four digs and three blocks as the Falcons swept the Wolves, 25-18, 25-9, 25-18.

Courtney Nilson had eight kills and five digs, and teammate Whitley Brow added seven kills, two blocks and four digs for Foothill.

Azure Werner paced Basic with seven kills and 10 assists. Brooke Levengood added four kills and 14 digs, and Kiara Richardson had four kills and four blocks for the Wolves.

Faith Lutheran 3, Western 0 — At Western, Sydney Washington had nine kills, and Megan Kronschnabel added 24 assists in the Crusaders' 25-18, 25-11, 25-5 sweep of the Warriors.

Lauren Bell had seven aces, and Tayah Washington added six kills for Faith Lutheran.

Destiny Gonzalez had 10 kills, three digs and two blocks to lead Western.

Nicole Riggs added 11 assists for the Warriors.

Bishop Gorman 3, Durango 0 — At Durango, Vashti Cunningham had 16 kills to lead the Gaels to a 25-22, 25-12, 25-13 sweep of the Trailblazers.

Abbey Archambault had six kills, Paige Poggione had five kills, and Alysia Nielson had eight digs for Gorman.

Sydney Lobato added three aces and 28 assists for the Gaels.

Adriana Willeford had six kills to lead Durango. Cayla Cooper had three aces and 10 digs for the Trailblazers.

Sunrise Mountain 3, Del Sol 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Rebecca Ramirez had 11 digs to lead the Miners to a 25-7, 26-24, 25-14 sweep of the Dragons.

Shayne Siegel had nine kills, and Ayla Diaz added six aces for Sunrise Mountain.

Coronado 3, Eldorado 0 — At Coronado, Cali Thompson had 10 aces and three digs to lead the Cougars to a 25-10, 25-7, 25-17 sweep of the Sundevils.

Nikki Jackson added six aces, four kills and four digs, and teammate Navi Lee had five kills for Coronado, which served 25 aces.

Eldorado's Anya Olsen had four kills, and Abigail Olsen added nine assists for the Sundevils, who got three aces from Dominique Buford.

Chaparral 3, Desert Pines 1 — At Desert Pines, the Cowboys were 25-23, 25-18, 15-25, 25-15 winners over the Jaguars.

Linnet Rojas had nine assists and nine aces, and Rebecca Hernandez added eight assists for Desert Pines.

The Meadows 3, Beatty 1 — At The Meadows, Emily Ebel had six assists, three aces and 13 digs, and Dina Kosyagin added nine kills and two blocks to help the Mustangs to a 25-9, 25-27, 25-16, 25-12 win over the Hornets.

Amanda Hansen had 19 digs, and Eden Miller added 10 assists and seven digs for The Meadows. Elyse Burns had 11 digs and three aces for the Mustangs.

Lake Mead 3, Calvary Chapel 2 — At Calvary Chapel, Jenette Hensely had 61 digs as the Eagles beat the Lions, 25-27, 25-21, 17-25, 25-18, 15-12.

Rachael Watkins had 19 assists and seven aces, and Kennedy Harnett had seven kills for Lake Mead, which got six kills from Allee Butz.

Calvary Chapel's Mariah Martin had 20 assists and 16 digs. Lexi Davis supplied 38 digs, and teammate Sarah Hernandez added 25 digs for the Lions, who got 10 kills from Emily Millchi.

Indian Springs 3, Word of Life 1 — At Indian Springs, the Thunderbirds beat the Eagles, 25-18, 27-25, 23-25, 25-23.
