VOLLEYBALL: Buchanan helps Desert Shields outlast Western

Jasmine Buchanan had nine kills Monday to help host Cheyenne's girls volleyball team to a 25-15, 20-25, 16-25, 25-15, 15-5 win over Western.

Kai Lee Keomaka had five aces and three blocks for the Desert Shields.

Destiny Gonzalez had 14 kills for Western.

Durango 3, Cimarron-Memorial 2 — At Durango, Kaci Kedrowski had eight kills and six digs to lead the Trailblazers to a 24-26, 25-20, 23-25, 25-21, 15-9 victory over the Spartans.

Mary Patricio added seven kills for Durango, and teammate Cayla Cooper had five kills, three aces and 24 assists.

Logan DeLong led Cimarron with 18 kills and five aces. Alex Payan added three aces and 20 digs for the Spartans, who got 17 assists and two aces from Alondra Estrada.

Centennial 3, Desert Oasis 1 — At Desert Oasis, Talie Bonds had 14 kills, 17 assists, two aces and 15 digs to lead the Bulldogs past the Diamondbacks, 25-12, 25-15, 23-25, 25-14.

Siara Roberts had 11 kills, two aces and seven digs, and teammate Gabrielle Neuman had 20 assists and six digs for Centennia. Kjersten Saunders had 19 digs for the Bulldogs.

Madison Norr had 12 kills, three aces and eight digs, and teammate Laityn Sarna had 23 assists and two aces for Desert Oasis. Emily Ragsdale had three kills and four blocks for the Diamondbacks, who got five kills from Kaia Rhodes.

Sierra Vista 3, Pahrump Valley 1 — At Pahrump, Bridgette Levi had 19 kills and eight digs to lead the Mountain Lions past the Trojans, 23-25, 25-6, 25-11, 25-18.

Sierra Vista's Lexy Ross had 10 kills and 12 digs, and Zoe Kriethe dished out 44 assists for the Mountain Lions.

Jill Smith had eight kills and 11 assists to lead Pahrump. Andi Bishop had five kills for the Trojans, who got 16 digs from Lauren Ashford.

Arbor View 3, Bonanza 0 — At Arbor View, Sarah Goddard had 13 kills, two aces and two blocks as the Aggies defeated the Bengals, 25-15, 29-27, 25-18.

Hannah Goddard recorded 13 kills and four aces, and Sofia Valenzuela had six kills, three aces and two blocks for Arbor View. Alyson Jeeves helped the Aggies with 41 assists and two aces.

Taryn Warner led Bonanza with 10 kills and four blocks. Hayley Hunstman had six kills and 23 assists for the Bengals, who got eight kills from Sydney Dunn.

Silverado 3, Liberty 0 — At Silverado, Syney Berenyi had 16 kills and 18 digs as the Skyhawks swept the Patriots, 25-16, 25-13, 25-9.

Mariah Morris had eight kills and nine digs, and Tehani Faitau dished out 28 assists for Silverado.

Liberty's Maggie Heim had seven kills and nine digs. Alexandra Farnsworth and Tiffany Watkins added seven and six kills, respectively, for the Patriots.

Mojave 3, Clark 0 — At Clark, Leilani Limtiaco had 15 kills and six digs to lead the Rattlers to a 25-14, 25-23, 25-11 win over the Chargers.

Carissa Limtiaco had seven kills, four aces and four digs, and Kristina Gomez added seven kills, three aces and two blocks for Mojave.

Angel Jamerson had seven kills and six digs, and Lexi Spilsbury and Liza Spilsbury each added four kills for Clark, which got 10 digs from Alex Brown.

Faith Lutheran 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Elizabeth Tuls had 13 kills to lead the Crusaders past the Grizzlies, 25-11, 25-14, 25-19.

Bobbi Tharaldson had 10 kills, Tayah Washington had nine kills, and Megan Kronschnabel had 34 assists and five aces for Faith Lutheran.

Danielle Amonica had eight kills and six assists to lead Spring Valley. Jessica Rafay had six kills and seven assists, and teammate Mikayla Miller had six digs for the Grizzlies.

Virgin Valley 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Bernice Fiso had 14 kills and five digs to lead the Bulldogs to a 25-23, 25-10, 25-19 sweep of the Miners.

Briana Todd had eight kills, and Janella Fiso had 27 assists and two aces for Virgin Valley.

Sunrise Mountain's Andrea Garner had four kills and three blocks. Shayne Siegel added four kills for the Miners, who got 10 digs from Rebecca Ramirez.

Las Vegas 3, Valley 0 — At Valley, Tajanae Davis had seven kills to help the Wildcats to a 25-9, 25-10, 25-8 victory over the Vikings.

Marico Davis served seven aces, and Lexia Brockett had 18 assists for Las Vegas.

Dailyn Colston had three kills, Gabriela Morales had six assists, and Michelle Burkhalter had four blocks for Valley.

Indian Springs 3, Adelson School 0 — At Indian Springs, the Thunderbirds defeated the Lions, 25-21, 25-21, 25-17.
