VOLLEYBALL: Blockovich helps Diamondbacks sweep Eldorado

Ariel Blockovich had five kills, 16 assists, five aces and five digs Friday to help Desert Oasis’ girls volleyball team to a 25-19, 25-8, 25-17 sweep of visiting Eldorado.

Taylor Brock had 13 aces and three kills, and Hennessy Seumalu added two kills, three digs and three blocks for the Diamondbacks, who got six kills from Madison Norr.

Abigail Olsen had 15 assists and eight digs, and Anya Olsen supplied seven kills and eight digs for the Sundevils. Ashley Spurgin had eight kills, and Kiana Parkes contributed 15 digs for Eldorado.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Cheyenne 1 — At Cimarron, Zaquae Downton had eight kills, four aces and seven digs to lead the Spartans to a 25-7, 25-21, 21-25, 25-19 win over the Desert Shields.

Logan DeLong had 11 assists and three aces, and Sharon Reyes added 14 digs for Cimarron.

Indian Springs at Beaver Dam — The Indian Springs at Beaver Dam match was postponed due to ongoing repair on Interstate 15. The match has not yet been rescheduled.
