Moapa Valley, Virgin Valley athletic events postponed through Wednesday

Several athletic events today and Wednesday involving Moapa Valley and Virgin Valley have been postponed because of the closure of Interstate 15 northeast of Las Vegas.

The Clark County School District announced the postponement of the following events:

Today, Virgin Valley at Del Sol tennis; Virgin Valley at Basic girls soccer; Moapa Valley at Adelson School boys soccer; and Eldorado at Moapa Valley girls volleyball.

Wednesday, Eldorado at Moapa Valley tennis.

Moapa Valley and Virgin Valley were scheduled to compete in a Sunrise League cross country meet at Boulder City on Wednesday. That meet will be contested without the two schools.

The CCSD had not determined this morning whether a Sunrise League girls golf meet, scheduled for Wednesday at Wildhorse, would be played as scheduled.

All of Monday’s tennis schedule, two soccer matches, one golf match and one volleyball match were postponed due to rain.

None of the postponed contests has been rescheduled.
