GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: First-place Shadow Ridge sweeps Palo Verde

Stacey Hone had 14 kills and four digs, and Autumn Spendlove added 39 assists and five digs as Shadow Ridge’s girls volleyball team swept visiting Palo Verde 25-19, 25-21, 25-18 on Thursday in a battle for first place in the Northwest League.

Natalie Nihipali had 10 kills, and Whittnee Nihipali finished with nine kills and 10 digs for the Mustangs, who are unbeaten in league play.

Arien Fafard led Palo Verde with 11 kills and nine digs. Aaliah Largusa and Carli Tanner each had six kills for the Panthers.

Sierra Vista 3, Las Vegas 0 — At Sierra Vista, Shantalle Demirjian supplied 12 kills and nine digs to lead the Mountain Lions to a 25-19, 25-13, 25-20 win over the Wildcats.

Audrey Dayton had seven kills and 10 digs, and Cheyenne Alvarez added 15 digs for Sierra Vista.

Marico Davis had eight kills, and Skyla Faught contributed six kills for Las Vegas.

Valley 3, Eldorado 0 — At Valley, Kyla King had seven kills and three aces to lead the Vikings to a 25-11, 25-23, 25-22 sweep of the Sundevils.

Jessica Perez added 10 digs, and Rebecca Barnosky had 13 assists for the Vikings.

Kiana Parker had five digs and one ace for the Sundevils.

Western 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Western, Jannessa Dunton had six kills to help lift the Warriors to a 25-23, 25-18, 25-16 win over the Jaguars.

Elaina Tillmond supplied five kills, and Adriana Jones added four kills for Western.

Brianna Fitzgerald led Desert Pines with five blocks, and Michelle Rhodes had four digs for the Jaguars.

Mojave 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Mojave, Sua Estrada had 27 assists and five kills to help the Rattlers to a 25-9, 25-6, 25-8 victory over the Miners.

Savannah Blanchard-Davis added nine digs and six aces for Mojave.

Daniela Robledo-Toribio led Sunrise Mountain with two kills and eight digs. Silvia Zuniga had four digs for the Miners.

Pahrump Valley 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Bridgette Menist had three kills and three aces, and Ny’Allia Johnson added three kills in the Desert Shields’ 25-16, 25-11, 25-18 loss to the Trojans.
