GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Faith Lutheran loses in semifinals of High Sierra Tournament in Reno

Bishop Mangoue beat Faith Lutheran 25-21, 25-16 in the semifinals of the High Sierra Tournament in Reno on Saturday.

For Faith Lutheran, Sydney Washington, Tayah Washington and Bryanna Neagle each had six kills.

Logan Van Reken had 13 digs for the Crusaders and Mary Vancura had 19 assists.

The Crusaders finished the day 4-1.

Faith Lutheran 2, Reno 0 — At Reno, Logan Van Reken had four aces and 12 digs to carry the Crusaders to a 25-18, 25-18 sweep at the High Sierra Tournament.

Faith Lutheran’s Bryanna Neagle had four kills and three blocks. Sydney Washington had six kills and Mary Vancura had 17 assists.

Faith Lutheran 2, McQueen 0 — At Reno, Elizabeth Tuls and Sydney Washington combined for 14 kills in the Crusaders’ 25-23, 25-17 sweep of McQueen at the High Sierra Tournament.

Mary Vancura had 16 assists for the Crusaders, and Logan Van Reken had five digs. Bryanna Neagle made three blocks.

Faith Lutheran 2, Ponderosa (Calif.) 1 — At Reno, Logan had 18 digs for the Crusaders in their 24-26, 25-18, 15-13 win at the High Sierra Tournament.

Sydney Washington had 10 kills and Mary Vancura had 23 assists for Faith Lutheran.

Faith Lutheran 2, Merril F. West (Calif.) 1 — At Reno, Mary Vancura’s 37 assists helped carry the Crusaders to a 28-30, 25-17, 25-12 victory at the High Sierra Tournament.

For Faith Lutheran, Sydney Washington had 18 kills and Dallas Mahan had eight. Bryanna Neagle had four blocks.
