GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Bonanza edges Desert Oasis in five sets

Zhanna Colin had 13 kills, and Alexa Rodriguez added 11 kills and 11 digs to help Bonanza to a 22-25, 25-18, 22-25, 25-22, 15-13 win over Desert Oasis at home on Monday.

Sydney Dunn contributed 30 assists and three aces, and Chianna Rodrguez had three aces and 32 digs for Bonanza.

Kaaleya Price led Desert Oasis with 12 kills and three aces. Emily Ragsdale added nine kills and three blocks, and Kira Beckerle had eight kills and 17 digs for the Diamondbacks, who also got 34 assists and 10 digs from Laityn Sarna.

Chaparral 3, Tech 1 — At Chaparral, Alyssa Porras had 10 kills, five assists and two aces to guide the Cowboys over the Roadrunners, 28-26, 25-23, 19-25, 26-24.

Jessica Joiner had nine assists and six aces for Chaparral, and Lesly Quezada added six kills.

For Tech, Haylee Makue-Vasconcellos recorded 18 digs, four kills, four aces and three assists. Teammate Makenna Faught had 12 assists, four aces, three digs and a kill.

Green Valley 3, Coronado 1 — At Coronado, Rachel Klopfer recorded 22 kills and 10 digs in the Gators’ 25-16, 25-18, 16-25, 25-16 win over the Cougars.

Emily Flowers had 26 digs and three aces for the Gators, and Anya Olsen had 12 kills and seven digs. Green Valley’s Abigail Olsen had 30 assists, eight digs, four kills, three aces and two blocks.

For the Cougars, Zoe Lier had 17 digs and 12 kills. Madison Karcich had 11 digs, eight kills and two aces.

Bishop Gorman 3, Durango 0 — At Bishop Gorman, Sydney Lobato’s 24 assists and four aces led the Gaels to a victory over the Trailblazers, 25-11, 25-13, 25-22.

Brooke Chapmann had 11 digs, Nataie Mavroidis added nine digs and Lilly Hoff contributed 17 assists for Gorman, which also got eight kills from Kylie Gibson.

Hanna Karl had eight digs and two blocks, and Alysia Nielson had five kills and nine digs for the Gaels.

Durango’s Hailey Kraft had seven kills and 10 digs, and teammate McKenzi Abelman had 10 digs.

Silverado 3, Basic 0 — At Silverado, Sydney Berenyi had 18 kills and 12 digs to lift the Skyhawks over the Wolves, 25-11, 25-14, 25-23.

Brielen Aquino added 29 assists and three aces, and Kaylynn Smith had 11 digs for Silverado.

Kiara Richardson had eight kills, four aces and four digs, and teammate Serenity Lomprey had seven digs and three blocks.

Foothill 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Whitley Brow’s eight kills and 15 digs led the Falcons to victory over the Patriots, 25-19, 25-22, 25-13.

Riana Blount had three kills, three aces, and six blocks for the Falcons. McKenzie Youngman had four kills and seven blocks, and Alyssa Neal had 15 digs for the Falcons.

Erika Martinez led the way for the Patriots with 32 digs.

Tehani Tapuala had three kills and 16 assists, and Maggie Heim added 10 kills, two aces and five digs for the Patriots.

Moapa Valley 3, Virgin Valley 0 — At Overton, Eden Whitmore had 12 kills to lead the Pirates to a 25-14, 25-13, 25-23 sweep of the Bulldogs.

JaLea Blasingame had eight kills, and Aria Messer had one kill and 16 assists for the Pirates.

Emma Barnum led Virgin Valley with five kills, seven assists and nine digs. Bernice Fiso had six kills, and Calee Clem added eight assists for the Bulldogs.

Boulder City 3, Del Sol 0 — At Boulder City, Maggie Roe’s 15 kills and three aces carried the Eagles past the Dragons, 25-19, 25-9, 25-12.

Alea Lehr had 31 assists and five aces, Lexi Bringle had five aces and 11 digs, and Kenadee Bailey had four assists, four aces, and three blocks for the Eagles.

Spring Valley 3, Clark 0 — At Spring Valley, Danielle Amonica’s five kills and 11 assists led the Grizzlies to a victory over the Chargers, 25-21, 25-14, 25-10.

Cashmere Buford had eight digs, and Alleanna Thomson had five kills for the Grizzlies.

Liberty Baptist 3, Beaver Dam 0 — At Liberty Baptist, Jade Halverson carried the Eagles to a 26-24, 25-18, 25-21 victory with 16 assists, nine digs, five kills and three aces.

Kelsey Guardiola had eight kills, seven assists, five digs and three aces, and Kiley Guardiola had nine kills and seven digs.
