GIRLS TRACK: Buettner, Selinger lead Boulder City to win

Paige Buettner and Sierra Selinger each won a pair of individual events to lead Boulder City’s girls track team to victory in a four-team meet in Overton on Wednesday.

Beuttner won the 100-meter dash in 13.5 seconds, and took the long jump with a mark of 14 feet, 9 inches. Selinger took a pair of distance races, winning the 1,600 in 5:45.58 and the 3,200 in 12:46.4.

The Eagles finished with 94 points to top Clark (83), Cheyenne (52) and Moapa Valley (34).

Boulder City’s Kenadee Bailey won the triple jump (26-11½), was second in the 100 hurdles and third in the long jump.

Lauren Mullins won the 100 hurdles (17.99) and was second in the 300 hurdles for the Eagles, and teammate Jordan Trobiani won the high jump (4-6) and placed second in the 400.

Cheyenne’s Angela Hammond won the 200 (26.64) and 400 (1:00.55).

Diamondbacks defeat Bonanza

At Desert Oasis, Megan Adams swept the throwing events to lead Desert Oasis to a 93-49 win over Bonanza.

Adams posted a mark of 109-10 to win the discus and took the shot put with an effort of 29-5.

Bonanza’s Esmerelda Hinojos won the 1,600 in 6:13.5 and the 3,200 in 13:42.8.

Gators top Las Vegas

At Green Valley, Charleen Jordan and Amy Amezcua each won two individual events to help the Gators cruise to a 103-43 victory over Las Vegas.

Amezcua won the 1,600 in 5:50.09 and the 3,200 in 12:52.98.

Jordan captured the 100 in 12.75 and the 300 hurdles in 45.22.

Cimarron tops Trailblazers

At Durango, Katherine Caldwell won two events to lead Cimarron-Memorial to a 91-32 win over the Trailblazers.

Caldwell won the 800 in 2:35.9, and took the 1,600 in 5:40.9.

Vikings beat Rams

At Valley, Kayla Steiner swept the hurdles to lead the Vikings to a 73-45 win over Rancho.

Steiner won the 100 high hurdles in 17.4 seconds, and posted a time of 51.6 to win the 300 low hurdles.

Jeni Marritt won the 3,200 (14:16.8) and was second in the 800 for Valley, and teammate Isabella Davis won the 1,600 (6:14.5) and was third in the 800.

Rancho’s Meyani Harris won the discus (91-1) and shot put (33-10¼).
