GIRLS SWIMMING: Rancho trio combines for six individual wins in victory over Liberty

Olivia Johnson, Tonicia Thomas and Astrid Villegas each won two individual events Saturday at Multi-Generational to help Rancho’s girls swimming team defeat Liberty, 137-107.

Johnson took the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes 15.96 seconds and the 100 butterfly in 1:03.1. Thomas won the 50 freestyle (26.1) and the 100 backstroke (1:00.38), and Villegas captured the 500 freestyle (5:18.55) and the 100 breaststroke (1:13.87).

Foothill was a 190½-89½ winner over Liberty.

Basic 143, Eldorado 126 — At Multi-Generational, Sarah Rodriguez won two individual events as the Wolves defeated the Sundevils.

Rodriguez took the 100 butterfly in 1:13.09 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:21.34.

Eldorado’s May Crawford won the 100 freestyle in 1:03.68 and the 200 freestyle in 2:27.68.

Boulder City 200, Virgin Valley 77 — At Multi-Generational, Mandy Gebhart won two individual events as the Eagles topped the Bulldogs.

Gebhart finished first in the 200 individual medley (2:17.17) and the 100 breaststroke (1:13.92).

Coronado 235, Valley 62 — At Multi-Generational, Tara Wise and Sara Gong each won two individual events as the Cougars swam by the Vikings.

Wise won the 200 individual medley in 2:17.89 and was first in diving with a score of 186.65. Gong took the 200 freestyle in 2:02.19 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.89.

Centennial 166, Arbor View 127 — At Pavilion, Maddie Cartmill and Rylie Miller each won two individual events to lead the Bulldogs by the Aggies.

Cartmill took the 200 freestyle in 2:11.63 and the 100 freestyle in 58.95. Miller captured the 500 freestyle in 5:37.71 and the 200 individual medley in 2:23.02.

Las Vegas 175, Canyon Springs 68 — At Pavilion, April Martinez won two individual events to help the Wildcats top the Pioneers.

Martinez took the 50 freestyle in 27.34 and the 100 backstroke in 1:02.91.

Cimarron-Memorial 122, Durango 83 — At Pavilion, Brianna Wychunas won the 200 freestyle in 2:41.75 and finished second in the 500 freestyle to help the Spartans top the Trailblazers.

Durango’s Anna Ward won the 100 freestyle in 1:14.06 and the 500 freestyle in 6:49.27.

Palo Verde 219, Legacy 75 — At Pavilion, Kasdyn Rafie and Grace Siebmann each won two individual events as the Panthers swam by the Longhorns.

Rafie took the 100 butterfly in 1:05.62 and the 200 individual medley in 2:23.4. Siebmann won the 500 freestyle in 5:23.32 and the 100 backstroke in 1:05.12.

Green Valley 200, Silverado 85 — At Multi-Generational, Abigail Richter won two individual events as the Gators topped the Skyhawks.

Richter took the 200 individual medley in 2:06.94 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.52.

Tech 135½, Desert Pines 85½ — At Multi-Generational, Daisy Flores and Cassandra Halloway each won two individual events as the Roadrunners defeated the Jaguars.

Halloway took the 50 freestyle in 28.38 and the 100 freestyle in 1:04.35, and Flores won the 200 freestyle in 2:37.94 and the 500 freestyle in 7:10.83.

Desert Pines’ Jennifer Martinez claimed the 100 butterfly in 1:17.44 and the 100 backstroke in 1:26.07.

Del Sol 105, Moapa Valley 84 — At Multi-Generational, Brynn Sproul and Bridget Droegemueller each won two events to help the Dragons top the Pirates.

Sproul won the 100 butterfly in 1:12.55 and the 100 backstroke in 1:04.65. Droegemueller took the 100 breaststroke in 1:21.85 and the 50 freestyle in 27.48.

Sunrise Mountain 150, Chaparral 73 — At Multi-Generational, Angelica Hungerford won the 50 freestyle in 33.4 and the 100 backstroke in 1:27.81 to help the Miners down the Cowboys.

Chaparral’s Shelbee Mirjanian won the 100 butterfly in 1:31.5 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:23.37.
