GIRLS SWIMMING: Arbor View tops Faith Lutheran

Arbor View’s girls swimming team won six of the eight individual swimming events Saturday en route to a 172-118 win over Faith Lutheran at Pavilion.

Sophomore Isabella Jones led Arbor View by winning the 100-yard freestyle in 59.78 seconds and the 100 backstroke in 1:06.56.

Freshman Isabella Nigro won both the 500 freestyle (5:47.17) and 100 breaststroke (1:14.44) for Faith Lutheran.

Clark 171, Centennial 115 — At Pavilion, the Chargers won all three relays on the way to the victory over the Bulldogs..

Senior Ingrid Tobar won the 100 butterfly (1:04.10) and the 100 backstroke (1:05.70) to lead Clark.

Centennial’s Kaly Rafie won the 100 individual medley (2:32.56) and 500 freestyle (6:12.33) to lead Centennial.

Desert Oasis 201, Bonanza 69 — At Pavilion, the Diamondbacks won seven of the eight individual events to cruise to an easy victory over the Bengals.

Meg Kurosawa won both 200 freestyle (2:04.08) and the 100 butterfly (1:02.30) to pace Desert Oasis.

Spring Valley 143, Durango 123 — At Pavilion, the Grizzlies won the final relay of the day and took down the Trailblazers for its first win of the season.

Senior Ashlyn Lessenger won the 200 individual medley (2:28.78) and the 100 freestyle (1:01.96), and freshman Allie Jacobson won the 200 freestyle (2:05.29) and 100 backstroke (1:02.73) for Spring Valley.

Palo Verde 169, Green Valley 125 — At Municipal, Grace Siebmann and Chloe Freeman each won two individual events to lead the Panthers by the Gators.

Siebmann won the 200 individual medley (2:12.02) and 100 breaststroke (1:07.72), and Freeman took the 100 butterfly (56.88) and 500 freestyle (5:08.44).

Green Valley’s Abigail Richter won the 100 freestyle (53.14) and 100 backstroke (57.08).

Valerie Kitchens won the 200 individual medley (2:00.02) and was second in the 100 freestyle for the Gators, and teammate Victoria Navarro won the 50 freestyle (24.44) and was second in the 500 freestyle.

Eldorado 114, Canyon Springs 97 — At Municipal, the Sundevils swept the relays to top the Pioneers.

Canyon Springs’ Kyleigh Ancheta won the 50 freestyle (34.4) and 100 freestyle (1:16.78).

Coronado 184, Foothill 125 — At Municipal, Sara Gong and Tayler Luna each took two events to lead the Cougars over the Falcons.

Gong won the 200 freestyle (2:06.06) and 100 breaststroke (1:10.62), and Luna placed first in the 50 freestyle (25.61) and 100 freestyle (57.02).

Gabrielle Wood won the 100 butterfly (1:03.68) and was second in the 100 backstroke for the Cougars.

Foothill’s Faith Brazil was first in the 200 individual medley (2:21.87) and second in the 100 breaststroke.

Del Sol 129, Desert Pines 68 — At Heritage, Karen Rangel won the 200 freestyle (3:16.47) and was second in the 100 backstroke to lead the Dragons over the Jaguars.

Desert Pines’ Jennifer Martinez won the 100 butterfly (1:19.09) and 100 backstroke (1:27.47), and Anna Snavely took the 500 freestyle (7:31.5) and 100 breaststroke (1:23.6) for the Jaguars.

Tech 160, Valley 56 — At Heritage, Veronica Perez won the 50 freestyle (32.43) and 100 freestyle (1:13.33) to lead the Roadrunners to victory over the Vikings.

Demi Rodriguez won the 200 freestyle (3:05.2) and was second in the 100 breaststroke for Tech, and teammate Riley Van Meter was first in the 500 freestyle (8:40.96) and second in the 50 freestyle.

Valley’s Luna Morris won the 100 backstroke (1:14.99) and 100 breaststroke (1:32.09).

Chaparral 108, Moapa Valley 89 — At Heritage, Gabby Hernandez won the 50 freestyle (34.07) and 100 freestyle (1:14.89) to help the Cowboys defeat the Pirates.

Mara Moya won the 200 individual medley (3:26.54) and was second in the 100 breaststroke for Chaparral.

Bishop Gorman 179, Sierra Vista 129 — At Pavilion, Devyn Wingender won the 100 butterfly (1:04.88) and 100 backstroke (1:04.92) to lead the Gaels by the Mountain Lions.

Emma Thompson was first in the 50 freestyle (28.9) and second in the 100 backstroke, and teammate Megan Thompson won the 100 freestyle (1:02.72) and was second in the 200 freestyle for Gorman.

Taylor Saxon won the 200 freestyle (2:07.37) and 100 breaststroke (1:17.49) for Sierra Vista. Danyael Cuison won the 500 freestyle (6:00.49) and was second in the 100 butterfly for the Mountain Lions.

Western 148, Cimarron-Memorial 101 —At Pavilion, Tiffany McCoy won the 100 freestyle in 1:13.81 and was second in the 200 freestyle as the Warriors defeated the Spartans.

Amina Bachir took the 200 individual medley (2:24.24) and 500 freestyle (5:34.34) for Cimarron.

Shadow Ridge 189, Legacy 88 — At Pavilion, Charlotte Brereton placed first in the 100 backstroke (1:06.0) and 100 butterfly (1:06.72) as the Mustangs beat the Longhorns.

Lauryn Dibble won the 50 freestyle (27.69) and was second in the 100 freestyle for Shadow Ridge.

Legacy’s Alyssa Hawkins won the 100 freestyle (57.6) and 200 freestyle (2:04.86). Isabella Schutte won the 200 individual medley (2:19.88) and 100 breaststroke (1:13.49) for the Longhorns.

Boulder City 209, Sunrise Mountain 41 — At Heritage, the Eagles won every event and cruised by the Miners.

Mandy Gebhart won the 200 freestyle (1:59.32) and 500 freestyle (5:11.66), Montana Lloyd was first in the 200 individual medley (2:11.12) and 100 backstroke (59.13), and Rose Pouch took the 50 freestyle (26.31) and 100 freestyle (55.09) for Boulder City.

Las Vegas 158, Basic 106 — At Heritage, Kate Blackburn won the 100 backstroke (1:15.97) and 200 freestyle (2:18.91) to power the Wildcats past the Wolves.

Basic’s Michaela Day won the 200 individual medley (2:22.43) and 500 freestyle (5:31.68), and teammate Amber Robinson was first in the 100 breaststroke (1:20.3) and 100 butterfly (1:07.71).

Liberty 202, Silverado 77 — At Heritage, Brooke Blackard, Sarah Cunningham and Jada Whited each won two individual events to lead the Patriots over the Skyhawks.

Blackard won the 200 individual medley (2:28.71) and 100 freestyle (59.56), Cunningham was first in the 500 freestyle (5:5 2.84) and 50 freestyle (25.68) and Whited took the 100 butterfly (1:14.07) and 100 backstroke (1:13.55) for Liberty.

Brooke Skelly won the 100 breaststroke (1:17.88) and was second in the 200 individual medley for the Patriots.
