GIRLS SOCCER: Eldorado comes from two goals down to beat Bonanza

Nicole Pena scored the go-ahead goal with about 15 minutes remaining, and Eldorado’s girls soccer team overturned a two-goal halftime deficit to beat host Bonanza 3-2 on Thursday.

Brianna Duran scored twice in the second half for Eldorado, which trailed 2-0 at the break.

Charlene Beck and Chastity Martinez had first-half goals for Bonanza, and teammate Shayne Dunn added an assist.

Centennial 4, Green Valley 1 — At Green Valley, Marcella Brooks had two goals and an assist to lead the Bulldogs past the Gators.

Quincy Bonds and Victoria Cera also scored, and Makayla Estrellado and McKenna Stratton each provided an assist for Centennial.

Alexis Kirson scored Green Valley’s goal.

Cheyenne 5, Chaparral 0 — At Cheyenne, Maria Borrero had three goals to lead the Desert Shields past the Cowboys.

Bianca Navarro and Yaqueline Gonzalez each added a goal for Cheyenne, which led 3-0 at the half.

Shayna Thompson had six saves to get the shutout.

Sierra Vista 5, Canyon Springs 1 — At Sierra Vista, the Mountain Lions scored three first-half goals and rolled past the Pioneers.

Audra Billingsley, Isabella Costa, Kayla Sanguinetti, Alexis McMurray and Michaela Budnick each had a goal for Sierra Vista.

Yamilet Perez added two assists for the Mountain Lions.

Alianna Carrison scored Canyon Springs’ goal.

Western 4, Virgin Valley 0 — At Western, Ellyson Reynada had two goals, and the Warriors blanked the Bulldogs.

Western’s Devany Marroquin and Jacky Rodriguez also scored.

Adelina Jasso had two assists, and Vanessa Margarito added an assist for the Warriors.

Alejandra Alvarez-Torres recorded the shutout.

Durango 3, Valley 2 — At Durango, Melissa Castillo, Andrea Gondinez and Destiny Malili each scored, and the Trailblazers held off the Vikings.

Arlyne Contreras provided an assist for Durango, which led 1-0 at halftime.

Lesly Lecena scored both of Valley’s goals.

Foothill 6, Clark 1 — At Foothill, Brooke Vokoun had two goals and an assist, and Alexis Huff scored twice in the Falcons’ victory over the Chargers.

Amber Risheg and Amanda Carducci each had a goal, and Elise Bush added two assists for Foothill.
