GIRLS SOCCER: Desert Oasis sends Bishop Gorman to first loss

Mia Blitsch and Miah Strellnauer each scored, and host Desert Oasis knocked off previously unbeaten Bishop Gorman 2-1 on Wednesday in a Southwest League girls soccer match.

Ashley Wood and Brianna Lane assisted on the Diamondbacks’ two goals.

Jaden Terrana scored off an assist by Hannah Borgel for the Gaels, who are ranked No. 8 in the USA Today/National Soccer Coaches Association of America Region VI poll.

Spring Valley 1, Durango 0 — At Durango, Savannah Villanueva scored a first-half goal as the Grizzlies edged the Trailblazers.

Aliyah Tracy earned the shutout with three saves for Spring Valley.

Silverado 1, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Victoria Bravo scored a second-half goal on an assist from Bryanna Narvaez as the Skyhawks nipped the Patriots.

Mikaila Becze earned the shutout with three saves for Silverado.

Boulder City 3, Moapa Valley 1 — At Boulder City, Madison Manns had a goal and an assist to carry the Eagles past the Pirates.

Nicolette Meola and Trinity Oeland also scored for the Eagles, and teammate Alexus Pohe had an assist.

Romina Parra scored for Moapa Valley.

Coronado 0, Foothill 0 — At Foothill, the Cougars and Falcons battled to a scoreless draw.

Taylor Book earned the shutout in goal with four saves for Coronado.

Goalie Natalie Williams earned the shutout with five saves for Foothill.

Tech 4, Virgin Valley 2 — At Tech, Melissa Lopez scored twice, and teammate Adriana Guzman’s goal broke a 2-2 tie as the Roadrunners downed the Bulldogs.

Alysia Mestas had a goal and an assist for Tech, which also got three assists from Valerie Webb.

Kallie Graves and Abbie Barnum each had a goal for Virgin Valley.

Green Valley 8, Basic 0 — At Green Valley, Alexis Kirson had five goals and two assists, and Isabel Madrid added two goals as the Gators routed the Wolves.

Emberly Sevilla had one goal and an assist, and Maggie Bender had three assists for Green Valley, which also got an assist from Jazlyn Hall.

Ryan Sabol and Alexa Eastep combined for the shutout.

Clark 6, Sierra Vista 1 — At Clark, Dona Acierto’s four goals and one assist carried the Chargers over the Mountain Lions.

Emily Russell and Patricia McKentte-Cardozo also scored for Clark, which led 5-1 at the half.

Dabani Ray had three assists for the Chargers, and Jennifer Gonzalez and Jackie Gonzalez each had one.

Michaela Budnick scored for Sierra Vista, assisted by Calista Reyes.

Chaparral 2, Del Sol 1 — At Del Sol, Jackie Magallon scored for the Dragons as they fell to the Cowboys.
