GIRLS SOCCER: Coronado scratches out tie against Tech

Coronado’s Leili Rosenberg scored a second-half goal, and the Cougars battled back to tie visiting Tech 1-1 on Wednesday in a nonleague girls soccer match.

Taylor Boren set up the tying goal for Coronado, the three-time defending Sunrise Region champions.

Melissa Lopez scored for the Class 3A Roadrunners after the teams went to halftime scoreless.

Basic 7, Durango 0 — At Basic, Heavyn Lopez notched two goals and an assist, and Sara Leiber and Allyson Leiber each added a goal and an assist as the Wolves blanked the Trailblazers.

Sydnie Hopkins, Darby Parise and Sasha Bodison also scored for Basic.

Bryanna Johnason and Ruby Barbosa shared the shutout for the Wolves.

Palo Verde 9, Clark 1 — At Palo Verde, Jadyn Nogues notched four goals and an assist, and Macee Barlow had two goals and two assists as the Panthers ran past the Chargers.

Avery Jacobsen and Alexandra Floratos each finished with a goal and an assist, and Holly Lindholm also scored for Palo Verde, which led 5-0 at halftime.

Gianni Terrana had two assists, and Gia Barone and Noah Johnson added assists for the Panthers.

Dabani Rayo scored for Clark off an assist from Samantha Malley.

Cimarron-Memorial 9, Eldorado 0 — At Cimarron, Haylei Hughes had three goals and an assist, and Annalise Esparza notched two goals and an assist as the Spartans overpowered the Sundevils.

Yoselin Tovar added a goal and an assist, and Shannon Dominguez, Haylee Nerio and Vivian Ramirez each scored for Cimarron, which led 6-0 at halftime.

Nancy DeLaTorre supplied two assists for the Spartans.

Alissa Longenecker made two saves to earn the shutout.

Green Valley 7, Valley 0 — At Green Valley, Alexis Kirson and Isabel Madrid each had two goals, and the Gators blanked the Vikings.

Kamryn Camp finished with a goal and an assist, and Maggie Bender and Chela Anglin also scored for Green Valley, which led 3-0 at halftime.

Chloe Kirson, Anna Kurosawa and Mariah Neshkoff added assists for the Gators.

Ryan Sabol and Emberly Sevilla each made one save to combine on the shutout.
