Bishop Gorman’s Hunter Pate carded a 2-over-par 73 to take medalist honors, and the Gaels won a Southwest League match Thursday at Bear’s Best.

Gorman shot 25-over 309 in its final tuneup before the Class 4A Sunset Region tournament on Monday. Clark finished at 407 and was the only other complete team.

Sierra Vista’s Caroline Valle and Danielle Oberlander of Gorman tied for second at 76.

Gorman’s Rose Baral finished fourth after a 78, and Clark’s Cassandra Ho was fifth at 79.

Coronado’s girls golf team won the Class 5A state tournament Thursday to claim its third straight state title. It’s the seventh team state title for the school.
