GIRLS GOLF: Coronado rolls in Southeast match

Victoria Estrada shot 2-over 62 to take medalist honors Thursday and lead Coronado’s girls golf team to a victory in a Southeast League match at Desert Willow.

Gabby DeNunzio shot 63 to finish second for the Cougars, who had the top six finishers and posted a 19-over 259.

Green Valley was second at 326, followed by Foothill (355).

Sami Penor and Crystle Querol tied for third at 67, and Kylie Keyer shot 68 for Coronado.

Gaels roll in Southwest match

At Spanish Trail, Bishop Gorman’s Hunter Pate shot 3-over 75 to take medalist honors as the Gaels easily won a Southwest League match.

Gorman shot 341 as a team to finish well ahead of Clark (442).

Gorman’s Danielle Oberlander shot 79 and was second, and Caroline Valle of Sierra Vista took third after shooting 82.

Clark’s Cassandro Ho, Sierra Vista’s Aliyah Williams and Jasmin Marayonk of Durango tied for fourth at 88.

Trojans take Sunset match

At Pahrump, Makalea Petrie and Krista Toomer tied for second place to lead Pahrump Valley to a first-place finish in a Sunset League match at Mountain Falls Golf Club.

The Trojans finished first with a 440 team score, while Desert Pines was second at 541. Mojave shot 552 and was third.

Western’s Carolyn Lemon shot 17-over-par 89 to take medalist honors.

Petrie and Toomer each shot 102, as did Mountain View’s Kristine Horita, while Jessica Pearson was fourth at 114 for the Trojans. Jordan Egan and Desirae Hembree of Pahrump Valley tied for fifth at 122.

Eagles win nine-hole match

At Boulder Creek, Lani Potter shot 3-over 39 to help Boulder City win a nine-hole match.

The Eagles shot 195 as a team, with Tech second at 223.

Scout Pope shot 48 and was second for Tech.

Boulder City teammates Lauryn Norris, Ryann Reese and Madisan Walker tied for third at 52.
