GIRLS BOWLING: Barriga helps Bulldogs to sweep of Gorman

Monica Barriga rolled a 635 series Tuesday to help Centennial's girls bowling team to a 9-0 win over Bishop Gorman in a Sunset Region quarterfinal at The Orleans.

The Bulldogs had the day's best team score with a 2,118.

Shadow Ridge had the high game with a 739 total in the third game of its 7-2 win over Bonanza.

Palo Verde swept Cimarron-Memorial, 9-0, and Arbor View downed Legacy, 7-2.

In the Sunrise Region, Foothill rolled the best team series with a 1,904 en route to a 9-0 win over Liberty in a quarterfinal.

All four Sunrise matchups ended in 9-0 sweeps as Silverado defeated Green Valley, Valley topped Coronado, and Basic beat Las Vegas.

DIVISION I-A

Emi Leong had a 593 series to help Tech to a 9-0 win over The Meadows in a Southern Region quarterfinal.

Tech rolled the best team series with a total of 1,839.

Clark had the second-best series at 1,775 and defeated Del Sol, 9-0.

Sierra Vista swept Sunrise Mountain, 9-0, and Boulder City defeated Spring Valley, 7-2 in the other quarterfinals.
