GIRLS BASKETBALL: Yemiyah Morris leads Canyon Springs to OT win over Cimarron

Yemiyah Morris had 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Canyon Springs girls basketball team to a 60-54 overtime win over visiting Cimarron-Memorial on Monday.

Morris had four points in overtime to help the Pioneers pull out the win. Aleza Bell added 12 points and five

assists for Canyon Springs, and J’hane Richardson scored three of her six points in the extra period.

Tasia Moore had 18 points, and Niara Smith scored 17 to lead the Spartans. Amoura Whitney added 11 points for

Cimarron, which outscored Canyon Springs 17-10 in the fourth quarter to force overtime.

Tech 56, Bonanza 35 — At Tech, Tayler Muwwakkil led three double-figure scorers with 12 points as the Roadrunners defeated the Bengals.

Jazlyn Domingo-Naval and Alondra DeLaGarza each added 11 points for Tech, which outscored Bonanza 35-14 in the second half.

Kerianne Reilly led the Bengals with nine points.

Mountain View 40, Word of Life 25 — At Mountain View, Tayah De’Bouck hit four 3-pointers and scored 26 points to lead the Saints over the Eagles.

De’Bouck also went 6-for-8 from the free-throw line for Mountain View, which outscored Word of Life 8-0 in the second quarter to take a 22-12 halftime advantage.

Arieyanna Banks led the Eagles with 15 points.
